CSCP Exam in Saudi Arabia: Format, Test Centers and How to Book

Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

By the time candidates reach the last two weeks of our CSCP program, the questions stop being about supply chain and start being about the CSCP exam in Saudi Arabia itself. Where do I sit it? What ID do I bring? What happens if my flight to Riyadh is delayed? This article answers the logistics so you can spend your energy on the content. For the eligibility rules see our CSCP requirements guide for Saudi Arabia, and for practice material try our CSCP practice questions with explanations.

You cannot tell a pretest question from a scored one, so answer everything. You see a pass or fail result on screen as soon as you finish, and at a test center you walk out with a printed score report.

The questions are drawn across the eight modules of the current Learning System: supply chains, demand management and forecasting; global supply chain networks; sourcing products and services; internal operations and inventory; forward and reverse logistics; supply chain relationships; supply chain risk; and optimization, sustainability and technology. The weighting is published in ASCM's exam content manual and it is worth a look, because our Saudi candidates routinely over prepare on procurement (their comfort zone) and under prepare on relationships, risk and technology.

What the CSCP passing score really means

Because ASCM rotates question sets, raw marks are converted to a scaled score so that 300 represents the same standard on every version. Do not try to reverse engineer a percentage; the honest answer is that a comfortable pass usually means getting a clear majority right across all modules, not scraping a couple. There is no negative marking, so an unanswered question is simply a lost opportunity. Flag it, move on, come back.

Time is rarely the issue. Most people finish with 30 to 45 minutes spare. The issue is stamina and reading precision, since many stems describe a scenario and ask for the "best" action out of four defensible ones.

Can you sit the CSCP exam in Arabic?

The CSCP is delivered in English, and that is how every candidate we have trained in the Kingdom has taken it. ASCM offers some of its exams in additional languages and the list changes, so check ascm.org if English is a concern. One practical allowance from the exam handbook: at Pearson VUE test centers you may bring a bound, print only, strict one to one word translation dictionary. Not the ASCM Supply Chain Dictionary, not notes, just a plain word to word translation book. Few people use it, but Arabic first speakers who worry about vocabulary should know it exists.

Where you sit the CSCP exam in Saudi Arabia

ASCM exams are administered by Pearson VUE, not by training providers. Blue Ocean Academy prepares you and helps you book, but the test itself happens either at a Pearson VUE test center or through OnVUE online proctoring. Nobody sits it in our classroom.

Test centers exist in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar, which covers the Eastern Province candidates from Dammam and Jubail as well. Availability varies by month, and Riyadh in particular can fill up around quarter ends, so book three to four weeks ahead if you have a fixed date in mind. The Pearson VUE site shows live seat availability once you have your Authorization to Test.

OnVUE online proctoring is the other route. It is available around the clock, which suits shift workers at plants and ports, and it removes the drive. The trade off is that the rules are stricter: a quiet private room, a clean desk, a working webcam and microphone, no one entering, no leaving the camera view, and a system test you must run in advance on the same computer and network you will use. Office laptops locked down by IT often fail that system test, and if that happens on exam day the fee is lost. Our advice is simple: if you have a reliable home setup, online is fine; if you have any doubt, take the test center.

How to book, step by step

  1. Log in to your ASCM account and buy the exam or the bundle. This creates an Authorization to Test (ATT). At the time of writing exam authorizations are valid for 12 months from purchase and retake authorizations for 6 months, so buy when you are close to ready.
  2. Check that the name in your ASCM profile matches your passport, national ID or Iqama exactly. Fix it before you schedule, not after.
  3. From your ASCM account, follow the link to Pearson VUE, choose test center or OnVUE, pick a city, date and time, and confirm. Scheduling by phone through Pearson VUE is possible but carries a small extra charge.
  4. Save the confirmation email. It contains the address, the check in time and the reschedule link.

Do not contact a Riyadh or Jeddah test center directly to book or change an appointment; they cannot do it, and ASCM customer support cannot either. Everything runs through Pearson VUE.

ID rules that catch people out

At a test center you need a valid primary government ID with photo and signature that has not expired, plus a secondary ID with your name and either a signature or a photo. A Saudi national ID or Iqama plus a passport is the combination we recommend, and it never fails. Digital IDs on your phone, laminated paper IDs, expired documents and temporary papers are refused, and refusal counts as a no show with the fee forfeited.

For OnVUE you show one valid, unexpired government issued ID with photo and signature to the webcam, such as a passport or national ID card, and the name must match your registration exactly. If your name appears in a different order on your ID than in your ASCM profile, sort it out with ASCM before exam day.

Exam day, rescheduling and retakes

Arrive at least 30 minutes early at a test center; late arrival is a no show. You get a locker for your phone, watch and bag, an on screen calculator, and the option to bring a basic nonprogrammable handheld one. For OnVUE, begin check in on time, since not starting within 15 minutes of the appointment forfeits the exam.

Need to move the date? Test center appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 48 hours before the slot; OnVUE appointments any time before the start. Both carry a nonrefundable fee of about USD 45, plus roughly USD 10 more if you do it by phone. Miss the deadline and the whole exam fee is gone, which is why we tell candidates in Jeddah not to book the morning after a Riyadh business trip.

If you fail, you must wait 14 full days before retaking, and bundle buyers receive their Second Chance Exam automatically. If you pass, your CSCP is live immediately and the digital certificate follows in your account. Read our first attempt study plan so that second chance stays unused, and if you have not yet joined a cohort, our CSCP preparation course runs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar and live online with booking help included.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions are on the CSCP exam and how long is it?

The CSCP exam has 150 multiple choice questions in 3.5 hours. Of these, 130 are scored and 20 are unscored pretest questions that you cannot identify, so answer every question. Most candidates finish with time to spare.

What is the passing score for the CSCP?

Results are reported on a scaled range of 200 to 350 and a score of 300 or above passes. The scale is adjusted across exam versions so the standard stays constant. There is no negative marking, so never leave a question blank.

Where can I take the CSCP exam in Saudi Arabia?

At Pearson VUE test centers in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar, or online from home through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring. Training providers do not administer the exam themselves. Book through your ASCM account once you hold an Authorization to Test.

Can I take the CSCP exam online from Saudi Arabia?

Yes. OnVUE online proctoring is available around the clock and works from any Saudi city with a stable connection. You need a private room, a webcam and microphone, a computer that passes the Pearson VUE system test, and a valid government ID such as a passport or national ID.

What ID do I need for the CSCP exam at a test center in Riyadh?

One valid, unexpired primary government ID with photo and signature plus a secondary ID with your name and either a photo or a signature. A national ID or Iqama together with a passport is the safest pairing. Digital, expired or paper IDs are refused and count as a no show.

What happens if I fail the CSCP exam?

You must wait 14 full days before retaking. If you bought the ASCM bundle, the Second Chance Exam is added to your account as a free retake; otherwise you can buy a discounted retake through ASCM. Use the score report to see which modules need work before you rebook.
