PMP Course in Riyadh

Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

Our PMP course in Riyadh exists for one reason: to get working professionals through that exam on the first attempt without putting their careers on hold for three months. Riyadh is where most of the project money in the Kingdom gets decided, and it shows in the hiring, because the job boards for the capital carry the same line under senior project roles week after week: PMP certified, or PMP preferred.

This page covers the formats we run in the capital, the schedule, what sits inside the 35 hours and how to enroll. For the credential itself, start with our complete PMP certification guide.

Why Riyadh professionals take the PMP

The capital carries an unusual concentration of program level work: Diriyah, Qiddiya, King Salman Park, the Riyadh Metro follow on phases, the New Murabba district, plus the government transformation programs sitting behind Vision 2030. Add the head offices of the big banks, STC, the PIF portfolio companies and the consultancies that serve them, and you have a city that takes project governance seriously.

What Riyadh employers ask for is consistent: someone who speaks the language of a PMO, can run a hybrid model (a stage gate plan for the client, sprints for the engineering team), and can manage a ministry, a main contractor and three subcontractors at once. The PMP exam content outline PMI released in July 2026 tests exactly that mix.

Our Riyadh classes are usually engineers moving into project leadership, PMO analysts, IT and digital transformation leads, and Saudi nationals building a profile for public sector project roles. Roughly a third have already tried self study once and stalled.

How the PMP course in Riyadh is delivered

There are three ways to take the same 35 contact hour program.

FormatWhereWho it suits
ClassroomOur Riyadh training venue, weekend or evening batchesPeople who want the discipline of fixed sessions and a room of peers to argue scenarios with
Live onlineAnywhere, same trainer and same timetable over videoCandidates who move between the capital and site offices, or who live far enough out that the drive would cost them the class
Corporate batchYour own office, closed cohort of roughly 8 to 20PMO, engineering and IT teams certifying several people together

Whichever you choose, you get the same recorded session access, practice question bank and trainer follow up until your exam date. That last part matters. Nobody fails PMP because they missed one lecture; they fail because they lost momentum after the class ended.

What the 35 hours actually cover

The course is built around the current PMI exam content outline: People, Process and Business Environment, with predictive, agile and hybrid delivery woven through all three. Since the July 2026 update, the Business Environment domain carries a much bigger share of the exam than it used to, and topics such as value delivery, sustainability and the use of AI tools inside project work now appear directly in the outline. Our material was rebuilt around that.

You work through the domains task by task, then spend the second half on exam technique: how PMI phrases situational questions, why the "call a meeting" answer is usually wrong, how to handle multiple response and matching items, and how to pace 180 questions across 240 minutes with two 10 minute breaks. Every module ends with scenario questions in the exam's voice, and we review the wrong answers together, which is where most of the learning happens.

We also help with the PMI application itself; writing project experience descriptions that clear review is a small skill our trainers in Riyadh have practiced many times. For the exact thresholds, read our note on PMP requirements and eligibility in Saudi Arabia before you enroll.

How long it takes, from first class to exam day

Most of our Riyadh candidates work full time, so a typical classroom batch runs over four to five weekends, or as evening sessions across three to four weeks. Live online follows the same rhythm.

The bit people get wrong is what happens after. Book your exam for 3 to 6 weeks after the final session, while the material is fresh, and use that window for full length mock exams. Leave a gap of several months and you will end up re studying. Exams are delivered at Pearson VUE centers in Riyadh, or online proctored from home; the exam format and booking article covers the details, including the ID and room rules for the online option.

A small practical tip: if you are choosing between a batch that starts before Ramadan and one that runs through it, take the earlier one. Shortened working hours sound like extra study time, but in our experience attendance and energy both drop.

Which Riyadh employers ask for the PMP

Read enough CVs from the capital and the pattern is plain. Government and semi government program offices hire the most certified project managers, followed by the giga project delivery companies and their main contractors, then the banks and telecom operators running large technology portfolios, then the consultancies that staff all three. Utilities and the large healthcare groups have started asking as well, usually for capital works rather than day to day operations.

The interview is narrower than the syllabus. Riyadh panels tend to ask how you handled a scope change the client would not fund, how you report status to a steering committee that meets once a month, and how you hold a contractor to a date. Expect a question about running a mixed team of Saudi staff and expatriate contractors, because nearly every program here is staffed that way. The PMP gives you the vocabulary. The examples have to be your own.

Fees and how to enroll

Course fees depend on the format and any corporate arrangement, so we quote them individually. Budget separately for the PMI exam fee, which PMI charges directly. Our PMP cost breakdown for Saudi Arabia carries the current figures in SAR.

A large share of our Riyadh candidates never pay personally. Ask your line manager whether the departmental training budget can carry the course fee: PMO, engineering and IT functions in the capital usually hold one, and a single written request covering the training, the exam fee and one retake is easier to approve than three separate ones. If this year's budget is committed, we can arrange phased payment or hold you a seat in a batch that falls into the next financial year. We invoice employers directly and issue the enrollment letter, attendance record and 35 hour certificate that finance and HR teams ask for.

To enroll, pick your batch on the PMP course page or talk to a Riyadh advisor, who will check your eligibility path and suggest the right start date for your exam window.

Frequently asked questions

Where in Riyadh are the PMP classes held?

Our classroom batches run at a central training venue in Riyadh, with the exact location confirmed on your enrollment. If traveling across the city is difficult, the live online format gives you the same trainer and schedule from home or your office.

Do I need to be a PMI member before joining the course?

No. Membership is optional and is bought directly from PMI when you apply for the exam. We usually recommend it because the member exam fee is lower and it comes with digital access to PMI standards, but it is not a course requirement.

How long does it take to get PMP certified in Riyadh?

Most of our Riyadh candidates finish the 35 hour course in four to five weeks, apply to PMI during or just after it, and sit the exam three to six weeks later. Ten to twelve weeks from first class to result is realistic for a working professional.

Does the course fee in Riyadh include the PMI exam fee?

No. The course fee covers the 35 contact hours, materials, the question bank and trainer follow up. PMI charges you separately for membership, the application and the exam, and you pay that through your own PMI account. Ask us for a written quote if your employer needs the two figures on one page.

What if I cannot attend a session in the classroom batch?

You get access to the recorded session and can join the same topic in a later batch or the live online stream. Your trainer follow up continues until your exam date regardless of which sessions you missed.
