What do IATA courses cost if you study from Kuwait?

Fees are in USD. Airport Operations Fundamentals, Passenger Ground Service Agent and Airline Cabin Crew each cost USD 1,400, Airport Ramp Services costs USD 1,500, the Foundation in Travel and Tourism Diploma costs USD 1,600, and Ground Operations Management Training costs USD 1,800.

The fee table on this page lists each course. The exam is separate from the course fee, so ask an advisor what it costs.

Can you study IATA courses in Kuwait online?

Yes. Live online is the listed format, so you can study from Kuwait. If you want a classroom, ask an advisor about the Authorized Training Center in Dubai, which is where IATA courses run in person.

Exams follow IATA's scheduled sessions, and some are remote supervised where IATA offers it. Blue Ocean Academy in Dubai arranges your place either way, so ask which exam route your chosen course uses.

Which IATA course suits you in Kuwait?

The right course depends on whether you are entering airports, already working in them, or aiming for a cabin or travel role. Each program below names its own audience.

Kuwait Airways, the national carrier, has been fully owned by the government since 1962 and flies from Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport, which opened in 2018. If your goal is airline work, look at Passenger Ground Service Agent and Airline Cabin Crew.

Who should not take an IATA course?

Ground Operations Management Training suits ground handling staff moving into supervision, and aspiring aviation professionals looking to enter airport and ground operations.

Do not expect Airline Cabin Crew to work as a license. It ends in a certificate of completion. Age and medical and appearance considerations apply when an airline hires you, not for the course.

If your work is outside airports, airlines and travel, these programs will not fit, and an advisor can point you to a different Blue Ocean program. If you want a free first look at aviation before paying, Fundamentals of Aviation is self paced, and its course page lists about 47 hours of study.

Passenger Ground Service Agent or Airport Ramp Services?

Choose by the audience each course names. Passenger Ground Service Agent costs USD 1,400 and Airport Ramp Services costs USD 1,500.

Passenger Ground Service Agent is aimed at airline customer service agents, airport operations staff, ground handling professionals, and ramp and turnaround coordinators. Airport Ramp Services is aimed at people recruited into ground service roles and people entering the aviation operations sector. If your job mixes both, ask an advisor to compare the two course pages with you.

What should a student or recent graduate in Kuwait do first?

Start with Fundamentals of Aviation, which is free and self paced, then move to an IATA program once you know which part of aviation you want. The course page lists about 47 hours of study.

After that, Airport Operations Fundamentals is a program for airport roles, and the Foundation in Travel and Tourism Diploma fits a travel or tourism direction. Pick the one that matches the job you want, and ask an advisor before adding a second.

How does the IATA exam run?

IATA exams run in scheduled sessions. They have traditionally fallen in March, June, September and December windows.

  • The format is typically multiple choice.
  • Many diploma exams run around 3 hours.
  • Passing is usually 60%, with 70% for distinction.

IATA sets and can change these rules, so check iata.org/training before you book a window.

If you are Kuwaiti, what should you check before you pay?

If you are Kuwaiti, check your own eligibility for Kuwaitization programs with the Public Authority for Manpower. Kuwait's Public Authority for Manpower says Kuwaitization is central to the National Vision 2035, and measures announced in August 2025 include specialised training programmes.

Steps to take from here

  3. Send an enquiry and ask which exam session your course can reach.
  4. If you are Kuwaiti, check your own eligibility for Kuwaitization programs with the Public Authority for Manpower.
