It does not suit you if you have never run a project. PMI asks for months of running projects, and a course cannot supply that. If you coordinate or plan project work, look at Mastering Project Planning & Scheduling Mastery, self paced at USD 599 with about 49 hours of study, and build experience alongside it.
If you work on projects in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, one of the zones the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones has the mission of developing and regulating, keep dated records of that project work, because PMI asks for your project history.
What does PMI require before you can sit the exam?
PMI sets the eligibility rules, and they can change, so confirm them on the PMI site. They combine your education, your project experience and 35 contact hours of project management education.
- With a bachelor's degree, PMI asks for 36 months running projects.
- With a secondary diploma, it asks for 60 months.
- PMI now lists four paths of 60, 48, 36 or 24 months, depending on your education level.
- The experience must fall within the last 10 years.
- An active CAPM waives the 35 contact hours.
How does the PMP exam work for candidates in Oman?

The July 2026 domain weights are People 33%, Process 41% and Business Environment 26%. About 60% of the items are adaptive, agile or hybrid. Question styles include multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and fill in the blank. PMI does not publish the passing score.
