The short answer

Pick by the behaviour you need to change, not by the word "soft skills". A team that loses deals in the room needs Presentation Skills; one that drowns in email threads needs Business Writing; a new manager who still does the work instead of delegating needs Leading High-Performance Teams. Each course is 45 to 47 guided hours, self-paced, with a Blue Ocean certificate of completion. Companies license a set as a track; individuals take one. If you came looking for a "public speaking course" or a "soft skills certification", the honesty section below is for you.

Why soft-skills training fails, and the fix

Most soft-skills spend buys a pleasant day and nothing measurable. The pattern is predictable: a generic workshop for everyone, no link to a specific behaviour, no manager follow-up, no measure. The fix has four steps and none of them is exotic. Name the behaviour you want more or less of, per role ("proposals go out without a recommendation on page one"). Pick the course that owns that behaviour, from the table, rather than a catch-all. Give managers a part: a conversation before the course about why, and one after about where it will be used. Measure something observable six weeks later: proposal turnaround, meeting length, escalations, presentation outcomes. Self-paced courses make the first two steps easy to run at scale; the third and fourth are yours, and we will help you design them.

The ten courses

Communicate

Mastering Presentation Skills (45 hours) starts with how audiences listen (attention and memory), then audience and purpose, narrative structure and the core message, data storytelling, visual design and clean slides including AI assistance, vocal delivery, body language and stage presence, and managing nerves and questions. For anyone who has to make a room decide. Course page.

Mastering Business Writing (45 hours) gives a repeatable process: reader and purpose, how people actually read on screens, bottom-line-up-front structure and the Pyramid Principle, concision and plain language, tone and professionalism, grammar and polish, formatting for readability, then the channels: email that gets answered, chat and asynchronous writing, reports and proposals, persuasive writing and difficult or sensitive messages. Course page.

Mastering Interpersonal Skills (45 hours) works one conversation at a time: self-awareness and blind spots, active listening, verbal and non-verbal communication, rapport and the trust equation, empathy and perspective-taking, giving and receiving feedback, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, assertiveness and boundaries, influence, networking, working across cultures and connecting in hybrid and remote settings. Course page.

Manage yourself

Mastering Emotional Intelligence (45 hours) covers the science of emotions and the amygdala hijack, the four domains of EI, assessments and models, self-awareness and triggers, self-regulation, a resilient mindset, empathy, social and organisational awareness, and EI applied to communication, conflict, leadership and teams, ending with building an emotionally intelligent culture. Course page.

Mastering Stress Management (46 hours) treats pressure as something to manage deliberately: the stress response and the models that explain why pressure helps up to a point, recognising personal signals, identifying stressors, resilience, cognitive reframing, mindfulness, emotional regulation, breathing and relaxation techniques, lifestyle foundations, workload and boundaries, priority tools and digital overload. Course page.

Mastering Time Management (45 hours) treats time as attention and energy rather than scheduling tricks: auditing where the hours go, goals and prioritisation frameworks including Eisenhower and MoSCoW, planning by day, week and month, beating procrastination, deep work and focus, distractions and digital overload, saying no, delegation, using AI and tools to reclaim time, meetings that do not waste it, and handling overwhelm. Course page.

Work and lead in teams

Mastering Team Building Skills (47 hours) is for anyone who forms or sustains a team: the science of teamwork, stages of development, roles and shared purpose, psychological safety, trust, emotional intelligence for team builders, motivation, communication norms and rhythms, strengths, collaborative problem solving, conflict, distributed teams, rituals, digital tools and inclusion. Course page.

Mastering Leading High-Performance Teams (47 hours) is for the step from contributor to leader: vision and goal cascading, the foundations of high performance, team dynamics, psychological safety as a leader, situational and adaptive leadership, motivation, coaching and developing people, delegation and empowerment, expectations and accountability, feedback and performance management, conflict, and leading through change. Course page. For the wider leadership catalogue, see leadership and management development programmes.

Two modern additions

Mastering AI-Age Workplace Readiness (46 hours) is the soft-skills course of this decade: what AI can and cannot do, AI literacy, human-AI collaboration, prompting, critically evaluating output for hallucination and bias, building an AI-augmented workflow, the modern toolkit of assistants, copilots and agents, data literacy, case studies across functions, the durable human skills, and responsible use. Course page.

Mastering Train the Trainer (46 hours) turns subject experts into competent trainers: how adults learn, memory and attention, learner analysis, needs analysis and the business case, objectives, session design, instructional design basics, facilitation and interactive delivery, storytelling and presence, materials, group dynamics and evaluation. Course page. The examined credential alternative is explained in train the trainer certification in India.

Three track templates

TrackCoursesWhy this order
New joiners and early-career staffTime Management, Business Writing, Interpersonal Skills, AI-Age Workplace ReadinessSelf-management first, then the two channels they will use all day, then the tools they will use all day
First-time managersLeading High-Performance Teams, Emotional Intelligence, Interpersonal Skills (feedback and difficult conversations), Presentation SkillsThe role change first, then the self-awareness it needs, then the conversations, then the upward communication
Client-facing and sales teamsPresentation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Stress ManagementWinning the room, reading the client, staying steady under target pressure

Each course is self-paced, so a track runs on the team's calendar, not ours; a typical cadence is one course per six to eight weeks with a manager conversation at each end.

The searches we should be honest about

  • "Public speaking course": we do not run one by that name. Mastering Presentation Skills covers delivery, stage presence and nerves inside a business-presentation frame; if you want speech or toastmaster-style training, that is a different product.
  • "Communication skills course": communication is three courses here (Presentation, Business Writing, Interpersonal), because speaking to a room, writing to a reader and talking to a person are different skills. Buy the one that matches the gap.
  • "Soft skills certification": these courses award Blue Ocean certificates of completion. No external body certifies soft skills in India in the way ASCM or HRCI certify technical professions, and anyone selling a "certified soft skills professional" title should be asked who the certifier is.
  • "Soft skills training near me": the courses are self-paced; in-house workshops on these topics run anywhere in India through corporate training.

Delivery and licensing in India

Self-paced on our learning platform, 45 to 47 guided hours per course, with progress visible to a sponsor when licensed for a team. Companies license a track for a cohort, combine it with in-house workshops and manager briefings, and receive completion and feedback reporting; see how corporate training runs in India. Individuals enrol from the course pages, where tuition is shown in Indian rupees for visitors in India. Advisors are available in person at our New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi centres.

Frequently asked questions

Which soft skills training is best for employees? The course that owns the behaviour you want to change: presentations, writing, one-to-one communication, emotional intelligence, stress, time, teams, leading teams, AI tools or training others. Generic programmes change little.

Are these soft skills courses online? Yes. All ten are self-paced, 45 to 47 guided hours each.

Do employees get a certificate? A Blue Ocean certificate of completion for each course. There is no external certifying body for soft skills.

Can we run soft skills training in-house in India? Yes. Self-paced licences for the cohort, in-house workshops on the same topics, or both, through corporate training.

How long does a soft skills course take? 45 to 47 guided hours, taken at the learner's pace; most teams finish a course in six to eight weeks alongside work.

Build the track

Send us the roles, the behaviours you want to change and the headcount, and we will propose a track with manager touchpoints and the measures to watch. Request a corporate training proposal. Taking one course yourself? Start from the table above, or speak to a course advisor.
