The exam content manual (ECM 5.0) weights the diagnostic areas as follows: Forecast and Manage Demand 10%; Manage the Global Supply Chain Network and Information 10%; Source Products and Services 17%; Manage Internal Operations and Inventory 19%; Manage Supply Chain Logistics 9%; Manage Customer and Supplier Relationships 17%; Manage Supply Chain Risk 10%; Evaluate and Optimize the Supply Chain 8%. The exam
You pass a single computer based exam of 150 questions (130 scored plus 20 unscored pretest items) in 3.5 hours, scored on a 200 to 350 scale with 300 the pass mark, taken at a Pearson VUE test centre or online through OnVUE. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so every question should be attempted. Exams are available on demand year round.
Eligibility
ASCM's current CSCP page, FAQs and exam handbook state no formal education or experience prerequisite; the credential is positioned by job responsibility rather than by years served. Membership is not required, though members with the certification upgrade receive discounts.
Preparation and the Learning System
