CISCP Course in Riyadh
Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
Our CISCP course in Riyadh has a particular flavor. Half the room works for a head office, and half works for the contractor that supplies it. That mix is useful, because the arguments people have with each other in the sourcing session are the same arguments they are having at work.
Here is what our Certified International Supply Chain Professional program looks like in the capital, and how to get onto the next group.
Why Riyadh professionals take CISCP
Riyadh is where the decisions sit. Ministries, the giga project head offices, mining and industrial groups, the banks that finance them and the large retail and distribution businesses that feed the city all plan from here, even when the physical goods move through Jeddah or Dammam. That means Riyadh roles skew toward planning, category work, supplier management and performance reporting rather than pure operations.
Two things follow from that. First, the job adverts ask for method: forecasting, inventory policy, supplier evaluation, total cost thinking. Second, the regional head office effect is fading. Work that was planned in Dubai five years ago is now planned in Riyadh, and the people doing it were often promoted into it quickly, without the underlying training. CISCP is a practical way to close that gap without leaving your desk for a year.
We also see a steady flow of people moving sideways into supply chain from engineering, finance and government administration. For them the value is the map of how planning, sourcing, storage and distribution connect.
One local detail worth knowing: a lot of supply chain work in the capital is tender driven rather than order driven, so employers ask whether you can plan against an award date you do not control. That question comes up in interviews here far more often than it does on the coast.
How the CISCP course in Riyadh is delivered
Three options, and the right one depends more on your work pattern than your budget.
| Format | Where | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Classroom | Our Riyadh venue, taught in a concentrated block | People who want the discussion and the whiteboard, and most candidates whose employer is paying |
| Live online | Your office or home, same trainer and material | Candidates in Buraydah, Hail, Tabuk and the Eastern Province who would rather not travel, and parents who cannot give up a weekend |
| In company | Your employer's premises, scheduled around their shift pattern | Groups of eight or more colleagues, which usually changes the price for each seat |
In every format the examination is administered through the academy at the end of the program. You do not book a separate slot at a public test center. What the exam itself looks like is covered in our CISCP exam guide for Saudi Arabia.
What the program covers
The syllabus follows the IPSCMI body of knowledge, and our trainers teach it against Saudi examples rather than textbook ones. Expect global supply chain strategy, demand planning and forecasting, procurement and sourcing, supplier relationship and risk management, sales and operations planning, transportation planning, warehousing, inventory management, distribution network design, Incoterms and methods of payment in international trade.
The two sessions that generate the most argument in Riyadh are inventory policy and supplier risk. Inventory, because almost everyone in the room is carrying stock they cannot justify and knows it. Supplier risk, because the sudden growth in project demand has taught a lot of teams what a single source supplier really costs when the delivery slips.
If your work is specifically about stores, stock accuracy and warehouse layout, the warehouse and inventory manager program goes deeper on that slice. CISCP is the wider view.
How the schedule usually works
Groups open through the year rather than on a fixed academic calendar, so the honest answer to "when is the next batch" is to ask, because it moves. A few patterns hold. Weekend groups suit people who cannot take leave. Weekday blocks tend to be employer sponsored. Demand rises in the weeks after annual appraisals, when people have just been told what is blocking their promotion.
Plan around Ramadan and the summer travel period rather than fighting them. Candidates who start a program they cannot finish usually restudy from scratch, which costs more time than waiting three weeks for the next group.
Give yourself a few hours a week of reading on top of class time. Candidates who treat the taught days as their whole preparation find the exam tighter than they expected.
What is included, and what comes next
Enrollment covers the taught program, the course material, trainer support during the program and the examination administered at the end. Certification comes from IPSCMI once you pass.
After CISCP, the natural next step is the manager level Certified International Supply Chain Manager. Candidates who already know they want both often ask about the combined route, because studying the two levels together is more efficient than returning a year later. If you are still weighing the whole thing up, read our honest assessment of whether CISCP is worth it in Saudi Arabia.
Funding and employer sponsorship
Most Riyadh candidates do not pay personally. Employers sponsor certification directly because Saudization targets make qualified national talent expensive to replace, and because a team that has been through the same syllabus argues about stock and suppliers far more productively afterwards. Ask us for the course outline and a written cost letter to attach to the approval request, and ask early rather than once the group is full.
If the central training budget is committed, two routes still work. Your own department may be able to carry the fee on its development line, since procurement and logistics managers here often hold a small allowance that goes unclaimed. Failing that, reserve a seat in the first intake of the next financial year with the approval recorded now. The full price picture is in our CISCP cost breakdown.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the CISCP course held in Riyadh?
We run classroom groups at our Riyadh training venue, with live online groups for candidates who cannot travel into the city. In company groups are delivered at the employer's own premises. Ask our Saudi team for the venue details of the specific group you want to join.
How long is the CISCP course in Riyadh?
The taught program runs as a concentrated block rather than a semester, so most candidates complete it in weeks rather than months. Weekend groups spread the same content across more calendar time. Add a few hours a week of private reading on top, whichever format you choose.
Do I sit the CISCP exam at a test center in Riyadh?
No. The examination is administered through the academy at the end of the program rather than booked separately at a public test center. That is one of the practical reasons candidates in Saudi Arabia choose this route over certifications that require a separate booking.
Is the CISCP course in Riyadh available in Arabic?
The material and the examination are in English, and our trainers explain in both English and Arabic where a group needs it. Candidates comfortable reading professional English cope well. If English worries you, tell an advisor before you enroll.
Can my employer in Riyadh sponsor the CISCP program?
Yes, and many do. Employer sponsorship is common for teams in project supply chain, procurement and logistics, and we can supply a course outline and a written cost letter for the approval file. If you can gather a group of colleagues, ask about an in company batch as well, because it usually changes the price for each seat.
What comes after CISCP?
The manager level CISCM is the usual next step, aimed at people running a team, a budget or a function. Some candidates take both levels together rather than returning a year later.
