CICCM Course in Cairo

CICCM Course in Cairo

Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

If you work with contracts anywhere in Greater Cairo, from a developer's head office in New Cairo to a contractor's site office in 6th of October City or a bank's procurement floor downtown, this page is for you. It explains who takes the Certified International Commercial Contracts Manager program with us in Cairo, the three ways you can take it, what it costs in EGP, what is inside, and how to enroll. For eligibility and the full budget, see the requirements guide and the cost guide. This page is about the course itself.

Who joins our Cairo batches

A typical Cairo group mixes contracts engineers and quantity surveyors from EPC contractors on national projects, contracts administrators from real estate developers in New Cairo and the Fifth Settlement, procurement and contracts officers from banks and telecoms, legal support staff moving into commercial roles, and project managers from oil and gas service companies and the pharma and FMCG plants in 6th of October and 10th of Ramadan. A good share are planning a Gulf move and want the certificate in hand before they apply.

What they have in common is not a job title but a situation: they manage contracts worth far more than their salary and learned how by watching. They want the structure.

Three ways to take it in Cairo

  • Classroom in New Cairo. Sessions run at our office at U Venues in the Tourism Zone of the Fifth Settlement when a batch is scheduled. Fee at the time of writing: EGP 45,900, including training, examination and IPSCMI certification.
  • Live online with an instructor. Same trainer, same material, same fee of EGP 45,900, from home or office. This is the popular choice for people in Giza, Maadi or Heliopolis who do not want the Ring Road twice a week.
  • Self paced. Listed at EGP 50,999 at the time of writing, discounted from a standard EGP 66,399, for people whose site rotations or travel make fixed sessions impossible.

These are the Egypt prices the CICCM course page shows to visitors browsing from Egypt. Note that live online or classroom currently costs less than self paced; we point that out to every candidate.

How scheduling works

The program is 50 hours of instruction. Cairo classroom and live online batches are arranged around working professionals, so expect evening or weekend blocks rather than full weekdays, and expect the exam at the end of the program rather than on a date you pick months later. We do not publish fixed start dates on this page because batches open as groups fill. Ask our advisors for the next scheduled Cairo batch and they will tell you honestly whether it is confirmed or still filling.

What the course covers

Seventeen modules, built around the IPSCMI body of knowledge and the contracts Egyptian professionals actually touch: legal foundations and contract formation; the CISG and UNIDROIT frameworks and governing law; procurement, bidding and the tender process; fixed price and cost reimbursement contract types and how to choose between them; pricing principles; contract administration; negotiating change orders and variations; risk allocation, indemnities and liability; dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation; FIDIC and other standard forms; drafting guidelines; and contract automation and digital lifecycle tools.

Our Cairo trainers lean on local examples: a variation dispute on a FIDIC based infrastructure job, a tender evaluation under Law 182 of 2018, a service level agreement for a bank's technology vendor. The theory is international. The war stories are Egyptian.

The exam at the end

IPSCMI's CICCM exam is a three hour multiple choice paper in English on the body of knowledge. In Egypt it is administered through Blue Ocean Academy at the end of the program, following IPSCMI proctoring rules, so you do not travel abroad and you do not wait months. IPSCMI does not publish the question count or the pass mark, so we prepare you for the whole syllabus rather than a rumored cut score.

Cairo employers who value it

Look at who posts contracts roles in Greater Cairo and you have the list: the large EPC contractors and their subcontractors on national projects, the developers building out New Cairo, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, the banks and their procurement arms, telecoms, the oil and gas service companies, pharma and FMCG manufacturers, and the multinational shared service centers that handle contracts for regional operations. Postings typically ask for “a professional contracts or procurement certification”, and CICCM answers that line. See the CICCM salary guide for Egypt for what those roles pay.

How to enroll and pay in EGP

  1. Open the course page from Egypt to see the EGP fee, or call our Cairo office.
  2. Tell our advisor which format you want: New Cairo classroom when scheduled, live online or self paced.
  3. Send your degree or experience letters so we can check IPSCMI eligibility before you pay.
  4. Pay the fee in Egyptian pounds. If your employer is sponsoring, ask about corporate invoicing and group batches.
  5. Receive your material and batch details, attend, and sit the exam at the end.
