Read this page in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
Here we have gathered our guides on the Certified International Procurement Manager (CIPM) for readers in Saudi Arabia. CIPM is the manager level credential from IPSCMI in the USA, one step above CIPP, and it is written for procurement managers, senior buyers, category managers and supply managers who lead teams or own spend categories.
The program covers strategic procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, contract management, negotiation strategy, risk, procurement performance and leading procurement teams. Most participants bring several years of procurement experience or a supervisory role. We deliver CIPM as a classroom program in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar or live online, and the exam is administered through the academy at the end of the program. Fees are quoted as one all inclusive program fee on enquiry, and CIPM is Hadaf supported for eligible Saudi nationals.
The guides below cover requirements, cost, exam, salary, a study plan, an honest look at the return, our Riyadh course and a comparison with CIPP. If you want dates first, see the CIPM course page. The next level after CIPM is CIPC, the consultant credential.

Frequently asked questions
Should I take CIPP or CIPM?
CIPP if you are a buyer or officer building procurement fundamentals; CIPM if you already manage people, categories or supplier relationships. Some professionals do both in sequence, since the IPSCMI ladder runs CIPP, then CIPM, then CIPC.
What experience is expected for CIPM?
Typically several years of procurement experience or a supervisory role. There is no long list of formal prerequisites, but the content assumes you already know the basics. If your background is mixed, tell us and we will advise which level fits.
How is the CIPM exam run?
Through Blue Ocean Academy at the end of the program, for both classroom and live online cohorts. IPSCMI sets the exam format and passing standard, and we brief you on both during the course rather than publishing numbers that may change.
What does CIPM cost and is Hadaf support available?
We quote one all inclusive program fee covering training, exam and certificate, on enquiry. CIPM is Hadaf supported for eligible Saudi nationals, which can cover part of the fee; our cost guide explains how that works.
