Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Saudi Arabia: Guides, Costs, Exam and Courses

Here we have gathered our guides on the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for professionals in Saudi Arabia. The Green Belt is the working level of Lean Six Sigma: you learn the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control), basic statistics, process mapping, measurement system analysis, root cause tools, hypothesis testing basics, control charts and lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping and waste elimination.

Our Green Belt participants are usually quality engineers, process improvement staff, operations teams, healthcare quality officers, manufacturing supervisors, oil and gas contractors and banking operations staff. In the Kingdom these methods are common in organisations such as SABIC, Aramco contractors and Ma'aden, in healthcare quality work linked to the Saudi Patient Safety Center and CBAHI, and among Saudi Quality Council members. The exam is taken through the academy at the end of the program, and fees are quoted as one all inclusive program fee on enquiry. Please read the live course page for accreditation, duration and whether a project is required.

The guides below cover requirements, cost, exam, salary (the premium is real but modest, so we use ranges), a study plan, an honest look at the return, Green Belt versus Black Belt and practice questions. The Green Belt course page has current dates.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a statistics background for the Green Belt?

No. The program starts with basic statistics and builds up to hypothesis testing and control charts step by step. There is no formal prerequisite listed for the Green Belt; check the live course page for the current entry guidance.

Is a project required to get certified?

Some programs require a completed improvement project and some do not. Please read the live course page for the current requirement, because we would rather point you to the source than repeat a rule that may have changed.

How is the Green Belt exam taken in Saudi Arabia?

Through Blue Ocean Academy at the end of the program, in classroom or live online cohorts. We brief you on the format during the course, and our practice questions guide gives a feel for the question style.

Green Belt or Black Belt?

Green Belt if you run or support improvement projects in your own area. Black Belt if you lead multiple projects, need advanced statistics such as regression and design of experiments, and coach Green Belts. Green Belt first is the usual path.
