CHRP Certification Cost in Egypt: Exam Fees, Training and Total Budget in EGP
Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
The question "how much does CHRP cost in Egypt?" has an unusually clean answer, which is rare in certification. At the time of writing, the Certified Human Resource Professional program costs EGP 35,699 self paced (the standard price is EGP 45,899, currently discounted) or EGP 45,900 for live online or classroom delivery. Those are the Egypt prices shown on our course page to visitors from Egypt, and they cover the course, the assessment and the certification.
That is the headline. The rest of this article is about what sits behind it: what the fee includes, what it does not, where hidden costs appear with other certifications and not here, and how to build a sensible budget if your employer in Cairo or Alexandria is paying. If you are still deciding whether to spend the money at all, our article on whether CHRP is worth it in Egypt is the better starting point.
What the program fee covers
The CHRP program is listed on our site as Certified Human Resource Management Professional, certified by the American Certification Institute (ACI). The fee is all inclusive: the course page states that it covers the course, examination and certification fees. In practice that means:
- Roughly 47 hours of instruction across 18 modules at the time of writing, delivered live online, in a classroom batch at our New Cairo office when scheduled, or as self paced content where the course page lists it.
- Learning materials, knowledge checks and practice assessments inside the learning platform.
- The professional assessment at the end of the program, taken through Blue Ocean Academy.
- The CHRP credential itself, issued after you pass.
Compare this with an international exam route, where you pay a training provider for preparation and then pay the certifying body separately in USD for an application and an exam seat. With CHRP there is one payment, in EGP.
Is there a separate exam fee or membership?
Not on this route. We get asked this constantly because people are used to HRCI, PMI or CIPS structures where a membership or application fee sits on top of the exam. For CHRP as delivered through Blue Ocean Academy, the assessment is part of the program and the certification fee is inside the price. You do not need to open a membership account with anyone to sit the assessment.
Two caveats, because we would rather you hear them from us. ACI's certification terms and policies apply to the credential, and those can change; ask your advisor for the current wording before you enroll. And if you later choose to pursue an HRCI exam, that is a separate program: our PHRi fee includes the HRCI exam, while going to HRCI directly means paying its fees in USD. More on that below.
Study materials, retakes and renewal
Materials are included, so you do not need to buy a textbook to pass. Some of our candidates in Cairo still buy one general HR management reference for their shelf, which is a personal choice and not a program requirement, so we have left it out of the budget table.
On retakes, we will not quote a figure, because reassessment terms are set by the certification policy and we do not want you budgeting around a number that may be out of date. Ask the advisor directly: "if I do not pass the assessment on the first attempt, what happens and what does it cost?" You should get a plain answer before you pay.
On renewal, the same honesty applies. Some credentials expire after three years and require continuing education credits; others are issued once. Check the current ACI terms through your advisor and write the answer in your enrollment notes so you are not surprised in 2029.
Your total CHRP budget in EGP
Here is the budget we would give a colleague at a bank or a shared service center in New Cairo who asked for the real number. Prices are those on our course page at the time of writing.
| Cost item | Self paced | Live online or classroom |
|---|---|---|
| Blue Ocean CHRP program fee | EGP 35,699 (standard EGP 45,899, currently discounted) | EGP 45,900 |
| Certifying body exam or application fee | Included in the program fee | Included in the program fee |
| Certification fee | Included | Included |
| Membership | None required | None required |
| Study materials | Included | Included |
| Reassessment, if needed | Confirm with your advisor | Confirm with your advisor |
| Transport to New Cairo | Not applicable | Your own cost if you choose classroom |
| Estimated total | EGP 35,699 | EGP 45,900 |
The gap between the two formats is about EGP 10,200. Whether it is worth paying is the subject of most of our advisory calls. If you are disciplined and already work in HR, self paced is fine. If you are moving into HR from payroll or admin, the live cohort tends to be where the learning actually sticks, because you hear how people at a contractor, a pharma plant in 6th of October City and a startup in Maadi handle the same case differently.
How employer sponsorship changes the picture
A large share of our CHRP enrollments in Egypt are paid by employers. Banks such as CIB, NBE and Banque Misr, multinationals with regional offices in Cairo, telecom operators and large groups such as Elsewedy, Hassan Allam and Talaat Moustafa typically hold a training budget per employee per year, and an HR credential at this price point usually fits inside it without a special approval.
Three practical tips. First, ask us for the course outline and the EGP quotation in writing; most learning and development teams need a formal quotation addressed to the company. Second, check whether your company pays upfront or reimburses after you pass, because that changes your cash position by EGP 45,900 for a few months. Third, some employers ask you to sign a retention clause for sponsored training; read it, especially if a Gulf relocation is on your mind.
If you are the HR person building the case for your own team, the argument that works is simple: one all inclusive EGP price, no USD exposure, no separate exam logistics, and a clear 18 module outline that maps to the work your team already does.
CHRP cost versus the PHRi route in Egypt
People compare these two constantly, so here is the money side only. Through our PHRi preparation program the PHRi route is EGP 56,200 live online or classroom or EGP 66,399 self paced (standard EGP 132,799, currently discounted) at the time of writing, and that fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states. If you go to HRCI directly instead, it lists the PHRi exam fee at about USD 395 plus a USD 100 application fee at the time of writing, roughly EGP 24,750 at around 50 EGP per USD, before any preparation you buy.
So the PHRi route through us costs more than CHRP, and the self study route carries exchange rate risk on the HRCI fees, in return for a globally recognized exam credential with an eligibility audit. CHRP is the lower cost, lower friction practitioner credential. For the full comparison beyond price, read CHRP vs PHRi in Egypt.
Paying in EGP and keeping the cost down
You pay in EGP, through our Cairo office or online, and the price you see on the course page is the price you pay. Watch the self paced price; it is marked as currently discounted, which means it may not stay at EGP 35,699. If budget is tight, the sensible sequence is to start with the free Human Resource Management Fundamentals self paced course, confirm you enjoy the material, then commit to CHRP.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the CHRP certification cost in Egypt in total?
At the time of writing the Egypt price is EGP 35,699 for self paced study (standard EGP 45,899, currently discounted) or EGP 45,900 for live online or classroom delivery. The fee covers the course, the assessment and the certification, so that figure is effectively your total.
Is the CHRP exam fee separate from the training fee?
No. The assessment is taken at the end of the program through Blue Ocean Academy and its cost is inside the program fee, along with the certification fee. There is no separate booking with an exam center and no USD payment.
Can my employer in Egypt pay for CHRP?
Yes, and many do. We issue a formal EGP quotation and course outline for your learning and development team. Check whether your company pays upfront or reimburses after you pass, and read any retention clause before you sign.
Does CHRP cost less than PHRi in Egypt?
Yes. CHRP has one EGP fee with no external exam cost: EGP 35,699 self paced or EGP 45,900 live at the time of writing. PHRi through our program is EGP 56,200 live online or classroom or EGP 66,399 self paced, with the HRCI exam included in the fee. Going to HRCI directly costs about USD 495 in exam and application fees, roughly EGP 24,750 at around 50 EGP per USD, plus any preparation you buy.
Will the self paced CHRP discount last?
The course page marks EGP 35,699 as a discount on the standard EGP 45,899 price, so it can change. If self paced suits you, confirm the current price with an advisor before you plan around it.
