CSCP Certification Cost in Egypt: Exam Fees, Training and Total Budget in EGP

Candidates in Egypt usually ask us the price before they ask anything else, and fair enough. CSCP is priced in US dollars by a US body, your salary is in Egyptian pounds, and the gap between the two has moved a lot in the last three years. This guide lays out every line item we know of, converts it at roughly 50 EGP per USD (the rate at the time of writing), and ends with a budget table you can take to your manager.
One rule before we start: every number here is approximate and current only at the time of writing. ASCM revises fees, usually once a year, and the exchange rate does what it does. Check ascm.org and the live course page before you commit.
What ASCM charges, in USD and EGP
ASCM sells three things that matter to you: the Learning System (the official study content), the exam itself, and a bundle that combines both with a second chance exam. Prices depend on whether you hold an ASCM membership with the certification upgrade. The figures below come from ASCM's CSCP page at the time of writing.
- Learning System: about USD 2,015 for non members, about USD 1,450 with the member upgrade. Roughly EGP 100,750 or EGP 72,500.
- Exam only: about USD 2,015 for non members, about USD 1,450 with the upgrade. Again roughly EGP 100,750 or EGP 72,500.
- Bundle (Learning System, exam and second chance exam): about USD 3,650 for non members, about USD 2,620 with the upgrade. Roughly EGP 182,500 or EGP 131,000.
Membership with the certification upgrade costs about USD 199 to 220 per year at the time of writing, roughly EGP 10,000 to 11,000. The arithmetic is not subtle. On the bundle alone the member discount is worth around USD 1,000, so paying for membership first saves money for almost every Egyptian candidate. ASCM also adds a year of membership when a non member buys the bundle; ask what that includes before assuming.
Two smaller items catch people out. Rescheduling a Pearson VUE appointment costs about USD 45 (about EGP 2,250), plus around USD 10 if you do it by phone, and a retake with an existing exam credit is listed at about USD 500 (about EGP 25,000). Without a credit, a retake means buying the exam again at full price.

CSCP is not offered as a self paced program with us; the exam is demanding enough that we only run it with a live instructor.
What does that fee include? Our fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states. So on our program you do not buy the CSCP exam from ASCM on top, and the bundle prices above are the self study route, not an extra. Ask our advisors which study resources your batch uses, then compare like with like against buying everything from ASCM yourself.
Why would anyone pay for training when the Learning System exists? Three reasons we hear from our Egyptian classes. First, completion: self study candidates who work full time at a plant in Borg El Arab or a bank in Garden City frequently stall around module four and never book the exam. Second, the dollar problem: many Egyptian banks cap international card spending, so paying ASCM directly in USD can fail or require a branch visit, while a provider invoices in EGP. Third, employer sponsorship almost always requires a local invoice from a registered training company, which brings us to the next point.
How employer sponsorship changes the math
In Cairo, a large share of CSCP candidates do not pay for the program themselves. Banks such as CIB and NBE run annual training plans. Multinationals with regional supply chain teams in New Cairo and 6th of October City budget certifications per head. Egyptian groups like Elsewedy Electric, Orascom and Talaat Moustafa sponsor planners and procurement leads, especially those tied to Suez Canal Economic Zone projects or the New Administrative Capital.
The common pattern is a bonding agreement: the company pays, and you commit to stay 12 to 24 months or repay a pro rata share if you leave. Read that clause carefully if a Gulf offer is on your horizon, because CSCP holders do get those offers. Another pattern is partial sponsorship, where the employer covers part of the fee and you cover the rest; because our fee already includes the exam, there is no separate dollar payment to split. If your department has a training budget approval cycle, usually in the last quarter of the fiscal year, time your request for it.

Renewal and the long term cost
CSCP is not a one time payment. To keep it active you earn 75 maintenance points every five years through professional development, or you retake the exam. At the time of writing the maintenance fee is about USD 75 for members and about USD 150 for non members, roughly EGP 3,750 or EGP 7,500 for the five year cycle. Spread over five years that is small, but it does mean budgeting for membership or accepting the higher fee later. Two notes on the table. All three columns assume you pass on the first attempt within your authorization period; a failed attempt adds a retake fee on any route. The Blue Ocean column has no separate exam line because our fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states. Self study as a member is the cheapest route on paper; what the program adds is a live instructor, a fixed schedule and an EGP invoice your employer can process.
