CSCP Salary in Egypt: What Certified Professionals Earn

Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

Ask ten supply chain professionals in Cairo what CSCP did for their pay and you will get ten different answers, which is exactly why we wrote this. Salary in Egypt depends far more on your employer type and your seniority than on any single credential. What a certification does is move you into a different conversation: a different shortlist, a different employer, sometimes a different country. Below are the ranges we see, in EGP per month, framed the way salary surveys and job postings typically present them. Treat every figure as approximate and current only at the time of writing.

Salary ranges in Egypt by seniority and employer type

These are gross monthly figures in EGP, drawn from what job postings and salary surveys for Egypt typically show. Individual offers fall outside them all the time, especially where allowances, bonuses and profit shares are involved.

LevelMultinationals and shared service centersLarge Egyptian groups and banksSMEs and local traders
Coordinator or analyst (1 to 3 years)EGP 15,000 to 30,000EGP 12,000 to 25,000EGP 8,000 to 18,000
Planner, buyer or specialist (3 to 7 years)EGP 30,000 to 60,000EGP 25,000 to 50,000EGP 15,000 to 30,000
Supply chain or procurement manager (7 to 12 years)EGP 70,000 to 150,000EGP 50,000 to 110,000EGP 30,000 to 60,000
Head of supply chain or directorEGP 150,000 to 300,000 and aboveEGP 100,000 to 220,000EGP 60,000 to 120,000

Government ministries and public sector entities sit well below these bands, often in the EGP 8,000 to 25,000 range once allowances are included, though public business sector companies and the economic authorities around the Suez Canal pay more. CSCP is rare there and not usually a hiring criterion, so if you work in the public sector the credential is mainly a bridge to the private sector or to the Gulf.

Where do CSCP holders actually sit in this table? Mostly in the first two columns and from the second row up. The credential is a mid career tool. Fresh graduates rarely hold it, and directors who hold it usually earned it years earlier.

The premium the certification typically adds

ASCM's own global salary surveys have historically reported that certified respondents earn more than uncertified peers, and job postings in Egypt that mention CSCP cluster at the manager level and above. In our experience in Cairo, the premium shows up in three ways rather than as a flat raise.

First, at job change. A planner moving from an Egyptian distributor to a multinational FMCG plant in 6th of October City can jump one full band, and CSCP is often what gets the CV past the regional recruiter. Second, at promotion. Several of our alumni were promoted into supply chain manager roles within a year of certifying, not because of the letters but because the preparation forced them to think end to end. Third, at negotiation. When two internal candidates are otherwise equal, the certified one has a document the HR team can point to.

If we had to put a number on it, salary surveys and postings typically suggest a premium in the range of 15 to 30 percent at the same level, with much larger jumps when the credential enables a move to a different employer type. Nobody should expect an automatic raise for passing the exam, and our honest look at whether CSCP is worth it in Egypt is blunt about that.

Cairo, Alexandria and the Suez Canal zone

Greater Cairo pays the most on paper because the regional head offices, shared service centers and bank headquarters are there, from Smart Village to New Cairo to the New Administrative Capital. Alexandria roles, built around the port, the Borg El Arab industrial area and the petrochemical cluster, typically post 10 to 20 percent lower base salaries for the same title, offset by lower housing costs.

The Suez Canal Economic Zone is the interesting exception. Plant and logistics roles in Ain Sokhna and East Port Said often come with site allowances, transport or housing, so total packages for operations focused supply chain managers can match or beat Cairo. The same is true of the industrial zones in 10th of Ramadan, where export manufacturers compete for planners who can speak to European customers. Damietta's furniture and port cluster is smaller and pays closer to SME levels.

What is driving demand

Five forces are pulling supply chain salaries up in Egypt at the time of writing. The Suez Canal Economic Zone industrial parks and their export orientation, which sits at the center of the Egypt Vision 2030 industrial agenda. The New Administrative Capital, which has created procurement and logistics roles in both government and the contractors serving it, including Hassan Allam, Orascom and Elsewedy. Export manufacturing in textiles, cables, appliances and automotive components. Tourism recovery, which flows through hotel procurement, EgyptAir and Cairo Airport cargo. And fintech and ecommerce, where fulfillment and last mile planning became real jobs rather than afterthoughts.

The job titles that most often ask for CSCP or list it as preferred: supply chain manager, demand planner, sales and operations planning manager, procurement or category manager, logistics manager, materials planner, plant supply chain lead and regional supply chain manager for Middle East and Africa. Our Certified Supply Chain Professional program is built around exactly the end to end thinking these roles test for in interviews.

The Gulf angle

We would be dishonest if we left this out. A large share of the Egyptians who certify with us do so with one eye on the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait or Oman, where ASCM credentials are widely recognized and frequently listed in postings. Converted to EGP, a supply chain manager package in Dubai or Doha commonly lands at three to five times the Cairo figure for the same title, going by what postings there typically show. Remote roles for Gulf and European companies, paid in USD, often start where a senior Cairo salary ends.

That mobility is a big part of the return on the EGP 185,500 program fee, and it is why we talk about CSCP as a career decision rather than a training expense. Frequently asked questions

What is the average CSCP salary in Egypt?

There is no reliable single average. Salary surveys and job postings typically place certified supply chain professionals in Egypt between EGP 30,000 and 150,000 per month depending on seniority and employer type, with multinationals at the top of each band. Treat any precise figure you see online with suspicion.

How much more do CSCP holders earn than uncertified peers?

Surveys and postings typically suggest a premium in the range of 15 to 30 percent at the same level. In Cairo the bigger gains come from the job moves the credential enables rather than from a raise in the current role.

Which employers in Egypt pay the most for CSCP holders?

Multinational FMCG, pharma and industrial companies with regional roles in Cairo, followed by banks and large Egyptian groups such as Elsewedy, Orascom and Talaat Moustafa. Shared service centers serving Gulf or European operations also pay well because they benchmark against regional scales.

Does CSCP help Egyptians get Gulf jobs?

Yes, it is one of the most commonly listed supply chain credentials in postings in the UAE, Qatar and the wider Gulf. It does not replace experience, but it gets Egyptian CVs past regional screening and gives recruiters a common reference point.

Is a demand planner salary in Egypt higher with CSCP?

Postings for demand planning and sales and operations planning roles at multinationals in Egypt frequently list CSCP as preferred, and those roles sit in the EGP 30,000 to 60,000 band and above for experienced planners. The credential matters most when you want to step up to planning manager.
