What is on the CPIM exam?
CPIM version 8.0 is a single exam of 150 questions over 3.5 hours, scaled from 200 to 350 with a pass mark of 300. Pearson VUE delivers it at a test center or online proctored.
The content areas are supply chains and strategy, demand, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, MRP, capacity, inventory, distribution, quality and continuous improvement, and technology. After you pass, ASCM asks for 75 points every 5 years to maintain the credential, so plan for that ongoing step as well as the exam itself.

- Certified Supply Chain Professional (live online, AED 16,800): for people whose work spans procurement, logistics and inventory.
- Supply Chain Planning Certificate (live online, AED 8,800): for operations and production planning staff and for warehouse and distribution professionals.
- Mastering Demand Forecasting and Inventory Management (self paced, AED 2,199, about 46 hours of study): a Professional level course for demand planners and inventory managers. It is a separate course from CPIM and not a route to the CPIM designation.
If your work is mostly transport and distribution, look at Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution instead of CPIM.
