Training Courses in UAE: How to Choose by Emirate, Sector and Fee
Read this page in Arabic: العربية | Last updated November 2026
Training courses in UAE are easiest to choose by the sector you work in and any credential named in job ads for your role. From anywhere in the UAE you can study online, self paced or live online, ask an advisor about arranging a class, or use a Blue Ocean office in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Riyadh. IATA courses are the exception: they run online or through the center in Dubai only. Two programs to compare first are Project Management Professional, listed live online at AED 5,700, and CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply, listed live online at AED 7,250 for training only, because CIPS sets its own exam fees.
At a glance
- This guide suits working professionals in any emirate who want a named credential or a focused course for their sector.
- Study online, ask an advisor about arranging a class, or use a Blue Ocean office; IATA courses run online or through the Dubai center only.
- Fees are in AED, and each course page lists the current fee.
- Start with the decision guide, then send your role and emirate to an advisor.
Programs by industry in UAE
Emiratisation rules in the UAE: who should pay attention?
Emiratisation rules set hiring targets for private companies in the UAE, so they matter most to people in HR and to Emirati job seekers. Everyone else can treat job ads in their own sector as the better guide to a course.
A UAE Cabinet decision required private companies with 50 or more employees to raise the Emirati share of their skilled jobs by 2 percent each year, for an overall 10 percent increase by 2026. Companies with 20 to 49 employees in 14 listed sectors, including construction, manufacturing and healthcare, had to hire at least one Emirati by the end of 2024 and a second by the end of 2025. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said in 2025 that financial contributions apply from 1 January 2026 to companies that miss their rates.
- You work in HR or recruitment. The targets count Emirati hires, not courses taken, so look at Certified Human Resource Manager and Certified International Recruitment Specialist for your own skills rather than as a way to meet them.
- You are an Emirati job seeker. The Nafis program aims to place Emiratis in private sector jobs. Check with Nafis what it offers you, then pick a credential that job ads in your sector name.
Which training courses in UAE fit each emirate?
The ports, airports and free zones near you are a useful first filter for training courses in UAE, because they show the kind of work around you. Every program named in this list can be studied online from any emirate.
- Dubai. The separate guide to training courses in Dubai covers logistics, aviation and office roles.
- Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The guide to training courses in Abu Dhabi covers ports, airports and finance. Al Ain International Airport is operated by Abu Dhabi Airports, so airport staff there can also look at Airport Operations Fundamentals, an IATA course that runs online or through the center in Dubai.
- Sharjah. Sharjah International Airport handled 19.48 million passengers and moved 204,323 tonnes of air cargo in 2025. Terminal staff can look at Airport Operations Fundamentals, and cargo staff at International Certificate in Logistics and Transport.
- Ajman. Ajman Free Zone, established in 1988, sits close to Ajman Port and major access roads. Certified International Warehouse and Inventory Manager and Certified Shipping and Freight Forwarding Professional fit warehouse and freight desks.
- Ras Al Khaimah. RAKEZ runs zones including Al Ghail, Al Hamra, Al Hulaila and Al Nakheel, and RAK Ports operates Saqr Port, Ras Al Khaimah Port and Al Jazeera Port. Factory supervisors and quality staff could start with Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and port staff with Mastering Sea Port Operations.
- Fujairah. The Port of Fujairah describes itself as the only multi purpose seaport on the UAE's eastern coastline. Fundamentals of IMDG is one to consider if you handle dangerous goods by sea.
Project management courses in UAE: do you need PMP?
You need PMP if job ads for your role in the UAE name it, and a single skill course may be enough if they do not. Project management courses in UAE split along that line.
Project Management Professional, the PMP credential from PMI, is listed live online at AED 5,700, with no self paced fee listed. Someone who has never worked on a project should begin with Fundamentals of Project Management. For one skill at a time, look at Mastering Risk Management for Projects or Mastering Agile and Hybrid Projects Delivery, both self paced.
HR, procurement and logistics courses in UAE: which credential?
HR, procurement and logistics courses in UAE lead to credentials from different named bodies. Go with the body that job ads for your role name.
- HR: Certified Human Resource Manager from ACI is AED 4,400 live online; ask an advisor which format is available. Courses that prepare you for the HRCI exams run from Associate Professional in Human Resources International to Professional in Human Resources International and Senior Professional in Human Resources International; ask about the format for these too. Blue Ocean is an HRCI Certification Prep Provider. HRCI sets the exams and does not run or endorse training.
- Procurement: the CIPS levels are CIPS Level 3: Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations, then CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply and CIPS Level 5: Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply, all live online from AED 7,250. That fee is training only, and CIPS sets its own exam fees, which you confirm with CIPS. IPSCMI awards Certified International Procurement Professional and Certified International Procurement Manager; ask an advisor which format is available.
- Logistics and supply chain: CILT awards International Certificate in Logistics and Transport and International Diploma in Logistics and Transport, both live online. ASCM awards Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management and Certified Supply Chain Professional, from AED 14,300 live online.
Aviation and IATA courses in UAE
IATA courses in UAE run through Blue Ocean's IATA Authorized Training Center in Dubai, wherever in the UAE you live. Do not plan on an IATA class in another emirate.
The IATA courses Airline Cabin Crew and Airport Operations Fundamentals are each listed live online at AED 5,000. Airline Cabin Crew ends in a certificate of completion, not a license or a promise of a job. People already working in aviation can add the non IATA courses Mastering Aviation in AI Era or Mastering Strategic Aviation, both self paced.
HSE courses in UAE: which one fits your role?
The HSE courses Blue Ocean offers in the UAE fit people who need HSE knowledge for their current role. If a job ad names a specific credential, ask the employer what it accepts before you spend money.
Self paced options include HSE Professional, Mastering HSE Auditor and Permit to Work (PTW) Professional.
Short courses and online courses in UAE
For short courses in the UAE, look at self paced online courses on one topic, which you study at the hours you choose. Length varies, so ask an advisor how long a given course takes.
Examples include Mastering Negotiation Skills, Mastering Kaizen, Balanced Scorecard and Leadership Essentials. Self paced study works around shifts and travel. Some introductory courses are free to study self paced, including Fundamentals of Finance and Fundamentals of Project Management.
Corporate training in UAE: when does it make sense?
Corporate training in UAE makes sense when several people need the same program, and it starts with a corporate enquiry.
Programs such as Excellence in Healthcare Management, A to Z of the Petroleum Industry and Information Security Management System (ISMS) Auditor / Lead Auditor Course are corporate, with no public fee. Send a corporate enquiry with your staff numbers, their roles and your emirate, and ask an advisor about arranging a class.
How do course fees work in the UAE?
Course fees in the UAE are quoted in AED and depend on the program and the format, self paced or live online. Each course page lists the current fee.
Mastering Kaizen, for example, is listed self paced at AED 2,199, while Project Management Professional shows a live online fee only. CIPS fees are training only, and CIPS sets its own exam fees, which you confirm with CIPS.
Which program should you start with in the UAE?
Start from your career stage in the UAE and the hours you can give each week, then match one named program.
- First job or new to a sector: Career Development Essentials or Fundamentals of Project Management. Leave Senior Professional in Human Resources International and CIPS Level 5: Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply for later; their titles signal a stage you have not reached yet.
- A few years in, and job ads name a credential: Project Management Professional, CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply or Professional in Human Resources International. Skip these while you are still deciding whether the field is right for you.
- Warehouse, freight or transport supervisor: International Certificate in Logistics and Transport at AED 7,300 live online. If you are weighing Certified Supply Chain Professional at AED 16,800 live online, ask an advisor what it requires before you start.
- Shift work or limited time, in quality or operations: a self paced course such as Mastering Total Quality Management at AED 2,199. People who drift without a timetable should ask an advisor about a live online program instead.
Before you enroll from UAE
Before you enroll in any course in the UAE, work through these checks in order.
- Save three job ads for the role you want in the UAE and note which credential each one names.
- Open the course page for that program and read the current fee.
- Choose a format: online, a class you ask an advisor about arranging, or a Blue Ocean office.
- Send an enquiry with your role and emirate, and ask what the program requires before you start.
Main certifications and fees (AED)
Fees come from our course catalog and can change. They do not include the exam, so ask an advisor what it costs and confirm the format before you enroll.
