Procurement Courses in UAE: Programs, Fees and Careers
Read this page in Arabic: العربية | Last updated November 2026
Procurement courses in the UAE work for a team when you give each person the course that fits their role, rather than enrolling everyone in the same one. Officers and assistants belong on CIPS Level 3: Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations, and your senior buyers and category managers belong on Certified International Procurement Manager.
At a glance
- This is for managers who choose procurement training for a team in the UAE and need one course per role.
- Fees in the table are in AED, and each course page lists what the fee includes.
- Use the corporate enquiry form to ask an advisor how a group can study together.
- Confirm the format with an advisor for each IPSCMI course before you book seats.
Procurement courses and fees in UAE (AED)
Fees come from our course catalog and can change. They do not include the exam, so ask an advisor what it costs and confirm the format before you enroll.
How do I match procurement courses to my team's roles?
List your team by job title first, then give each title one course. The lists of roles on the course pages make this a quick exercise.
- Procurement officers, buyers and purchasing assistants: CIPS Level 3: Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations.
- Senior buyers, category managers and sourcing managers: Certified International Procurement Manager.
- Whoever reviews purchasing files: Certified International Procurement Auditor, which lists procurement auditors, internal auditors and risk and compliance professionals.
- Your contract owners: Certified International Commercial Contracts Manager.
- An internal or external advisor to the team: Certified International Procurement Consultant.
One course will not suit everyone, so check each person's title against the list of roles on the course page before you choose.
What do UAE federal procurement rules mean for my team?
The Ministry of Finance issues the federal Digital Procurement policy, which sets guidelines and controls for purchasing by all federal entities and their suppliers.
If your buyers or your suppliers deal with federal entities, have the team read the policy together first. Then look at Certified International Procurement Auditor for the people who review purchasing files.
What do the fees look like for a mixed team?
Fees differ by course, so price the team by role. CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply is live online at AED 7,250, the IPSCMI live online courses are AED 4,400, and Mastering Lean Procurement Excellence is self paced at AED 2,199.
The Level 4 fee covers training only. CIPS sets its own exam fees, so confirm those with CIPS. For the IPSCMI courses and Mastering Lean Procurement Excellence. The exam is separate from the course fee, so ask an advisor what it costs. Ask an advisor through the corporate enquiry form about seats for a group.
Which course suits a purchasing team that needs one shared skill?
Mastering Lean Procurement Excellence lists purchasing teams in its audience, together with procurement professionals, category managers and sourcing specialists. It is self paced and the course page lists about 46 hours of study.
Use it when the whole purchasing team will study the same course. If a job description names a CIPS level, take that CIPS course instead.
Who on the team should not take a manager course?
Check the list of roles before you book a manager course. Certified International Procurement Manager lists procurement managers, senior buyers, category managers and sourcing managers, and CIPS Level 5: Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply lists procurement managers, category managers, senior buyers and supply chain managers.
CIPS Level 3 lists procurement officers, buyers and purchasing assistants, procurement administrators and supply chain practitioners, so it is the one to look at for team members in those roles.
Which course suits the person who advises the team?
Certified International Procurement Consultant lists procurement consultants and advisors, independent procurement advisors, procurement managers and transformation leaders. The course page lists about 45 hours of study, and the live online fee is AED 4,400.
For a colleague in a different role, Certified in AI in Procurement and Supply Chain Management lists procurement professionals, supply chain managers, category managers and sourcing specialists, with about 46 hours of study.
How does Emiratisation affect a procurement team in the UAE?
It sets hiring targets. A UAE Cabinet decision requires private sector companies with 50 or more employees to raise the Emirati share of their skilled jobs by 2 percent each year, for an overall 10 percent increase by 2026, as the UAE Government Portal explains.
If you are hiring into procurement posts, ask HR how those targets apply. Keep choosing each person's course by role.
Your next moves
Do these in order before you send anything to an advisor.
- Write each team member's title next to one course name from the list above.
- Decide who needs a CIPS level and who needs an IPSCMI course, and ask an advisor to confirm the format for each IPSCMI course.
- Read the federal Digital Procurement policy together if your work touches federal entities.
- Send a corporate enquiry with the roles, the courses and the number of people.
