What does the CSCP assessment involve?
The CSCP is one exam from ASCM, formerly APICS, delivered by Pearson VUE at test centers or online proctored. Use the ASCM and Pearson VUE locator to see what is open to you in Abu Dhabi before you set a date.
The exam spans eight areas.
- Supply Chains, Demand Management and Forecasting
- Global Supply Chain Networks
- Sourcing Products and Services
- Internal Operations and Inventory
- Forward and Reverse Logistics
- Supply Chain Relationships
- Supply Chain Risk
- Optimization, Sustainability and Technology
How do you plan CSCP study around a job in Abu Dhabi?
List your daily tasks, match each one to an exam area, and study the unmatched areas first. Come back to the areas you already use at work after that.
Abu Dhabi gives you concrete reference points. Khalifa Port is described by AD Ports Group as a logistics gateway combining sea, road and rail connectivity, and KEZAD Group operates 12 economic zones across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, with its main zone next to the port. If you coordinate shipments or supplier deliveries around that kind of multi modal flow, the Forward and Reverse Logistics and Global Supply Chain Networks areas map onto your week. If you work in an office role such as procurement, Sourcing Products and Services and Supply Chain Relationships are closer to your week.
Staff in aviation can use the same method. Abu Dhabi Airports recorded more than 33 million passengers in 2025, and a role that supports airport supply or stores still maps to Internal Operations and Inventory.
Who is eligible for CSCP certification in Abu Dhabi?
ASCM accepts one of three routes: three years of related business experience, a bachelor's degree or international equivalent, or an active CPIM, CLTD, CTL, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM. These are ASCM's rules and they can change, so confirm them with ASCM.
A graduate with under three years of work can use the degree route. A diploma holder with five years in a warehouse or buying office should ask ASCM whether those roles count as related business experience.
