CILT Course in Cairo
Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
Greater Cairo is where most of our CILT learners live and work, from Heliopolis and Nasr City near the airport to Maadi, Giza, 6th of October City and the Fifth Settlement. This page is for them: who takes the program here, how we deliver it, what it includes, who hires for it, and how to enroll and pay in EGP.
Who takes CILT in Cairo and Giza
Three groups, mostly. People in cargo and ground handling around Cairo Airport and EgyptAir who want a management credential. Supply chain staff at the multinational and shared service offices in New Cairo, Maadi and Smart Village, where the regional manager already has the letters and expects the team to follow. And warehouse, distribution and fleet supervisors at the FMCG, pharma and building materials operations in 6th of October City, Obour and 10th of Ramadan who commute in from Giza and east Cairo.
A smaller group comes from the metro, monorail and rail projects, and from contractors such as Orascom and Hassan Allam, where transport planning has become a real function rather than an afterthought.
Formats we offer in Cairo
Classroom at our New Cairo office in the Fifth Settlement, when a batch is scheduled. We run these in evening and weekend blocks so working people can attend. We do not promise fixed dates on this page because batches open when a group is confirmed; ask our advisors for the next planned start.
Live online with an instructor. This is the format most Cairo learners end up choosing, not because the classroom is worse but because the Ring Road at six in the evening is. You get the same instructor, the same materials, live sessions you can join from Maadi or Giza, and recordings if you miss one.
Self paced is available for the shorter CILT endorsed certificates, the Certificate in Distribution and Transportation and Shipping and Freight Forwarding, at EGP 20,399 each at the time of writing (standard EGP 30,599, currently discounted). The International Diploma and the International Certificate are taught live, online or in classroom, because the assessments need instructor preparation.
What the program includes
The International Diploma in Logistics and Transport is CILT's Level 5 qualification. You study four units, one mandatory management unit and three electives or options drawn from areas such as supply chain operations, warehousing, transport planning and freight, with the exact options confirmed for your batch. Assessment is through CILT approved assignments and written examinations delivered live online for Egypt through the center. Most learners finish within a year of part time study; CILT allows up to around 18 months.
The International Certificate in Logistics and Transport at Level 3 follows the same delivery model for supervisors and new entrants. If you are unsure which level is yours, the Certificate versus Diploma guide will settle it in ten minutes.
Schedule logic
A Diploma batch typically runs as weekly live sessions plus guided self study, with revision sessions before each assessment window. We avoid heavy scheduling in Ramadan and around the Eid breaks, and we try to open batches so that final assessments do not collide with the June fiscal year end for finance and procurement people. If your work has a known peak, such as the summer season for airline cargo, tell your advisor and we will steer you toward a batch that fits.
Employers in Cairo that value it
Shipping lines and terminal operators with Cairo commercial offices, 3PLs running distribution for FMCG and pharma, airline cargo and ground handling at Cairo Airport, the regional supply chain hubs of multinationals in New Cairo, and the logistics functions of large groups such as Elsewedy Electric, Orascom, Hassan Allam and Talaat Moustafa. Banks such as CIB and NBE value it in procurement and facilities roles rather than core banking. Postings from these employers are the ones most likely to name CILT or ask for a professional logistics qualification, and our salary guide shows what they typically pay.
How to enroll and pay in EGP
Prices are shown in EGP on the course page for visitors from Egypt: EGP 71,500 for the Diploma and EGP 69,000 for the Certificate at the time of writing, live online or classroom. Send an enquiry or call the office, have a short eligibility conversation with an advisor, share your CV and ID, then pay the fee in EGP. We register you with CILT as a student member through the center; our fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states, so there is no CILT charge on top. Employers can request an invoice in the company's name. The cost breakdown has every line item.
