CLTD Course in Cairo

CLTD Course in Cairo

Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

Most of our CLTD candidates in Egypt live and work in Greater Cairo, and the city shapes how they study. A planner in 6th of October City loses two hours a day on the road. A distribution manager on a New Administrative Capital project works site hours. A shared service analyst in New Cairo has month end close to protect. This page explains how we run the Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution program for people like them.

Who takes CLTD in Cairo and Giza

Our Cairo batches usually mix three groups. Logistics and distribution staff from FMCG, pharma and industrial plants in 6th of October City, Sheikh Zayed, Obour and 10th of Ramadan. People from 3PLs, freight forwarders and air cargo operators around Cairo Airport. And a growing group from e commerce fulfillment hubs in Giza and along the Ring Road, joined by procurement and shared service teams in New Cairo and Smart Village who manage logistics vendors.

Contractors bring a different angle. Project logistics on the New Administrative Capital means heavy materials, site deliveries on tight windows and a lot of subcontracted transport. Large groups such as Hassan Allam, Orascom and Elsewedy run exactly this kind of operation, and the transportation and network design content in CLTD applies to it directly.

Formats: New Cairo classroom or live online

Classroom in New Cairo. When a batch is scheduled, sessions run at our office at U Venues in the Tourism Zone of the Fifth Settlement. It suits people on the eastern side of the city: New Cairo, Madinaty, Rehab, Shorouk and the New Administrative Capital. You get the trainer in the room and a cohort from other Cairo employers, which for many candidates is half the value.

Live online. The same instructor led sessions, delivered live rather than recorded, so you can ask questions as you go. Most candidates from Giza, 6th of October and Sheikh Zayed choose this, and it works equally well from Alexandria or the canal cities.

Both formats are EGP 154,800, the Egypt price at the time of writing. A self paced CLTD option is not offered. If you want to start on your own first, our self paced Mastering Logistics and Transportation program at EGP 30,599 is a sound foundation, though not a substitute for CLTD.

What the course includes

According to the course page at the time of writing:

  • Live instructor led sessions across the CLTD body of knowledge, organized as 9 modules and 53 topics.
  • Knowledge checks and practice assessments along the way.
  • Digital study resources and practical templates you can reuse at work.
  • Course, examination and certification fees, all within the program fee.

The CLTD credential itself is awarded by ASCM once you pass, issued digitally and verifiable by employers. The exam runs through Pearson VUE, either at a test center in Greater Cairo such as the one on the AUC New Cairo campus, or online. Our guide to the CLTD exam in Egypt covers booking and ID rules. Because our fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states, you do not buy the CLTD exam from ASCM on top.

How to choose your batch

Dates are set batch by batch, and our advisors share the current calendar on request. Three things should decide which one you join.

First, your exam window. Once ASCM authorizes you, you have about six months at the time of writing to sit the exam, so pick an exam date before the course ends, not after. Second, the calendar. Ramadan, the summer holidays and your own peak season, whether that is year end for FMCG or harvest time for exporters, are poor moments to start. Third, the commute. A classroom batch only works if you can reach the Fifth Settlement reliably after work. If you cannot, live online is the honest choice.

Between sessions, our study plan for passing CLTD on the first attempt shows how to pace the weeks.

What Cairo employers ask about

In interviews for distribution and transportation roles in Cairo, hiring managers keep returning to the same themes: how you would choose between owning a fleet and outsourcing to a 3PL, where a new warehouse should go, how you would cut landed cost on an import through Ain Sokhna. CLTD gives you a structured way to answer. Multinationals and the larger 3PLs in Cairo know the credential well; in smaller firms, it is the answers that carry the weight.

How to enroll and pay in EGP

  1. Check that you meet one of the routes in our note on CLTD eligibility in Egypt.
  2. Talk to a Cairo advisor by phone, email or a visit, and choose classroom or live online.
  3. Get your quote in EGP. Visitors from Egypt see the Egypt price on the course page. If your employer is paying, ask for the quote in your company's name so finance can process it.
  4. Confirm your batch and receive your onboarding details.
