CPIM Course in Cairo
Read this guide in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
If you plan production, manage inventory or run S&OP anywhere in Greater Cairo, this page is for you. It explains how we deliver the ASCM CPIM program from our New Cairo office, who sits in the room, how the schedule works around Cairo working life, what the fee covers and how to enroll in Egyptian pounds. For the background on the credential itself, our CPIM guides hub for Egypt has the detailed articles.
Who takes CPIM in Cairo and Giza
Our Cairo batches are a fairly consistent mix. Production planners and master schedulers from the pharma and FMCG plants in 6th of October City and Obour. Materials and inventory controllers from the cables, steel and building materials groups with sites in the 10th of Ramadan zone. Demand planners from the multinational head offices and shared service centers in New Cairo, the Fifth Settlement and Smart Village. Procurement and operations staff from banks and telecoms who manage physical stock and want the planning discipline behind it. And a steady number of professionals from Giza and Maadi who are preparing a Gulf move and want an ASCM credential on the CV before they start applying.
Most have two to eight years of experience. A few are fresh graduates with a supply chain degree and a first planning job; they do well when they commit the extra study hours.
Formats we offer in Cairo
Classroom at our New Cairo office. We are at U Venues in the Tourism Zone of the Fifth Settlement, and we run CPIM in the classroom when a batch is scheduled. Classroom suits people who learn by arguing a case with the trainer and a dozen other planners, and it is a short drive from the AUC campus where many of our learners later sit the exam.
Live online with an instructor. Same trainer, same material, same batch structure, delivered over video so that a planner in Ain Sokhna or Alexandria, or simply someone who refuses to cross the Ring Road twice in a day, can attend. This is the format most of our Egypt candidates choose.
Self paced is not offered for CPIM in Egypt. The exam is demanding and we only run it with an instructor. If you want a self paced start in the same subject area, our Mastering Demand Forecasting and Inventory Management program is available self paced at EGP 30,599 at the time of writing and is a sensible warm up.
How the schedule works
We do not publish fixed dates here because batches are confirmed based on enrollment. What we can tell you is the logic. Batches run on weekday evenings, usually two sessions a week, or on weekend mornings, so that people in full time roles can attend. A full CPIM program runs for roughly 10 to 14 weeks, which is also the study window the ASCM content realistically needs. During Ramadan we shift sessions to after iftar. When you enquire, our Cairo advisors will tell you the next confirmed start and whether it is classroom or live online.
What the course includes
The program follows the ASCM CPIM body of knowledge: supply chain strategy, demand management, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity management, inventory management, distribution, quality and continuous improvement, and the supporting technology. Our trainers are certified practitioners who have run planning functions, not readers of slides, and the sessions lean on Egyptian examples: a pharma plant with a long lead time import, an FMCG distributor balancing Delta and Upper Egypt demand, a cables producer with volatile copper prices.
You get the live sessions, trainer support between sessions, timed practice and exam strategy coaching. The exam is covered too: our fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states, so you do not buy the CPIM exam from ASCM on top. Our CPIM cost guide for Egypt compares this with buying directly from ASCM.
Employers in Cairo that value it
Multinational FMCG, pharma and automotive plants in Greater Cairo list ASCM credentials in planning postings more than any other employer group. The large Egyptian groups, including Elsewedy, Orascom and Hassan Allam, increasingly ask for them in materials and planning hires. Shared service centers running regional S&OP out of New Cairo screen for it. EgyptAir and Cairo Airport related operations run serious inventory functions, as do the telecoms. Banks such as CIB, NBE and Banque Misr treat it as a plus in procurement and operations. Our CPIM salary guide for Egypt looks at what these employers typically pay.
How to enroll and pay in EGP
The Certified in Planning and Inventory Management program is priced at EGP 168,600 for live online or classroom in Egypt at the time of writing. The course page shows the price in Egyptian pounds to visitors from Egypt, and you pay in EGP. Many of our Cairo learners are sponsored by their employer; we issue the documentation your HR or L&D team needs and can invoice the company directly. Enrollment takes a short call or an enquiry form, after which an advisor confirms the batch, the format and your start date.
