The short answer
SCOR gives a supply chain team one vocabulary for its processes, one set of metrics to measure them, and a way to compare performance with other chains. Our Mastering SCOR course teaches the framework in 45 self-paced hours and sends you back to work able to describe your chain in SCOR terms, pick the right metrics and plan an improvement programme around them. It is a programme with a certificate of completion. If you want an ASCM designation that rests on SCOR, that is CTSC, and this course is a sensible foundation for it.
What SCOR is
The Supply Chain Operations Reference model was created so that companies could talk about supply chains in the same terms and measure them the same way. ASCM now maintains it as the SCOR Digital Standard. Its spine is a set of processes that describe any chain, from the orchestration layer down through planning, ordering, sourcing, transforming (making), fulfilling and returning, each decomposable into finer levels. Around the processes sit performance attributes and the metrics that measure them, a catalogue of practices that close performance gaps, and a people section describing the skills a chain needs. Indian manufacturers and conglomerates adopt SCOR for the same reason companies elsewhere do: when a network sprawls across plants, warehouses, distributors and partners, a shared standard is the only way the metrics mean the same thing in every location.

It is not a course for people new to supply chains; the fundamentals course on lean supply chain and SCOR courses in India comes first for them.
What you receive, and what you do not
You receive a Blue Ocean certificate of completion for the Mastering SCOR course. You do not receive an ASCM endorsement, a designation or any post-nominal letters, and we do not describe the course as "SCOR certification" in the credential sense, because that would mislead. SCOR literacy is a capability employers value and the foundation of ASCM's CTSC designation; it is not a credential in itself.
SCOR and CTSC
ASCM's Certified in Transformation for Supply Chain is the designation grounded in SCOR DS and the Digital Capabilities Model. Its four modules take a transformation from overview through preparing, executing and reviewing, measured in SCOR terms, and it is earned by a 150-question, 3.5-hour exam. Self-paced, 45 guided hours, so the content is the same wherever you are in India. Advisors are available in person at our New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi centres.
