Which CIPS level should you study from Kuwait? If you buy or source and meet the entry rule, take CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply; if you are newer to purchasing, take CIPS Level 3: Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations. Both are live online at USD 2,000, and the CIPS exam fee is separate.

What does CIPS in Kuwait cost?
Live online tuition at Blue Ocean is USD 2,000 for CIPS Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5. The fee is tuition only, and CIPS sets its own exam fee, so confirm that amount on the CIPS site before you budget.
Because the three levels share one fee, your role decides the level. Each course page lists what the tuition fee covers. If you want to study with colleagues in Kuwait, ask an advisor about arranging a class. You can also study at a Blue Ocean office in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Riyadh.
Does CIPS fit procurement work in Kuwait?
CIPS fits you if your job is buying, sourcing, contracting or managing suppliers, whether for a government body or a private company. Your own organization's rules still apply.
The government side has its own law. Public Tenders Law No. 49 of 2016 regulates government procurement in Kuwait, and the Central Agency for Public Tenders awards contracts and invites companies to prequalify. If your company bids for government work, read the Agency's requirements for the bid itself. The Level 4 modules include L4M3 Commercial Contracting and L4M5 Commercial Negotiation.
If you are Kuwaiti, the Public Authority for Manpower says Kuwaitization is central to the National Vision 2035, and Kuwaitization measures announced in August 2025 include specialized training programs. Ask the Authority which programs apply to you.
Who should skip a CIPS program?
Skip CIPS for now if you want one narrow skill, or if you cannot sit exams in scheduled windows. Each CIPS level is a qualification with module exams, not a short course.
- If you only need negotiation, take Mastering Procurement Negotiations: about 47 hours of study, USD 599 self paced.
- If you want a program with a stated study load, look at Certified International Procurement Professional, about 48 hours, or Certified International Procurement Manager, about 45 hours. Live online is USD 1,500 for each, and an advisor should confirm the format with you.
- If you do not hold Level 4, CIPS Level 5: Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply is not your next step.
How do CIPS exams work for candidates in Kuwait?
CIPS exams are booked through CIPS and sat at Pearson VUE test centers or remotely, in scheduled exam windows. Confirm current availability with CIPS before you choose a study plan.
On the Level 4 Diploma, the core modules are 3 hour constructed response exams and the others are 1.5 hour objective response exams. If you sit remotely, check the CIPS requirements for remote exams ahead of the day, and if you sit at a test center, confirm current availability with CIPS.

The Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply has eight modules.

Which entry rule applies to you?
CIPS sets the entry rule for Level 4: Level 3, two A levels or equivalent, or relevant experience. Two years of procurement experience is common. Confirm the rule with CIPS because it can change.
Compare the three levels on offer:
- Level 3 Advanced Certificate: 5 modules, entry level.
- Level 4 Diploma: 8 modules, from L4M1 Scope and Influence of Procurement and Supply to L4M8 Procurement and Supply in Practice.
- Level 5 Advanced Diploma: 8 modules, and it needs Level 4.
Level 6, the Professional Diploma, leads to MCIPS with 3 years of experience.
