Read this page in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية
The Professional in Human Resources International (PHRi) from HRCI, the HR Certification Institute in the USA, is the international HR credential Egyptian employers recognise most readily: multinational shared service centres in Cairo, banks, telecoms, outsourcing and BPO firms, and Gulf HR roles that list PHRi or SPHRi as a requirement. It sits in the middle of the HRCI international family, above aPHRi for newcomers and below SPHRi for senior practitioners.
This hub collects our Egypt guides on PHRi eligibility, the full cost in EGP, the exam and how to book it at Pearson VUE in Cairo or online, salaries, our Cairo course, and the aPHRi, PHRi or SPHRi choice. Eligibility depends on education: one year of professional HR experience with a master's degree, two with a bachelor's, or four with less. The exam has 90 scored and 25 pretest questions in 2 hours 15 minutes. At the time of writing, our PHRi preparation costs EGP 56,200 live online or classroom, or EGP 66,399 self paced, discounted from EGP 132,799, and the fee includes the course, the exam and the certification fee, as the course page states. HRCI's own exam and application fees in US dollars apply only if you study on your own and pay HRCI directly; retakes and recertification are separate.
