The short answer
Strategic sourcing and supplier management are where procurement stops being purchasing. If you own categories and sourcing strategy, take Strategic Procurement or go straight to the CISM designation. If you own supplier or vendor performance, CIVMP or the ASCM SRM Certificate. If finance keeps challenging your savings numbers, Procurement Budgeting and Cost Management. If your process is slow and approval-heavy, Lean Procurement Excellence. If you lead the function, the Strategic Procurement Master. For the professional ladders (CIPS, CIPP and CIPM), see the procurement certification comparison.
What strategic procurement work looks like
In an Indian company of any size, the strategic layer of procurement is a handful of recurring tasks: segmenting spend so you know which categories matter (most courses here teach the Kraljic portfolio matrix for this), running a structured sourcing process for the categories that do, choosing and developing suppliers and measuring them against KPIs, modelling total cost of ownership rather than unit price, negotiating on cost structure rather than discount, managing supplier risk and continuity, and reporting savings that finance will accept. The seven courses below each own one or more of those tasks.

Certified International Sourcing Manager (IPSCMI)

Supplier Relationship Management Certificate (ASCM)
Six topics: introduction to SRM, supplier selection and evaluation, supplier development, supplier performance management, supplier risk management, SRM best practice. An ASCM certificate programme rather than a designation; see ASCM certificates in India for the distinction. For procurement and sourcing professionals who need to turn key suppliers into partners. Course page.
Procurement Budgeting and Cost Management (45 hours)

For procurement, sourcing, category and contract professionals who need their numbers to survive finance review. Course page.
Lean Procurement Excellence (46 hours)
Twenty modules applying Lean to procurement: Lean philosophy and principles in procurement, Lean versus traditional approaches, identifying waste in over-processing, delays and approvals, excess inventory and poor planning, supplier inefficiencies, procurement value stream mapping, locating bottlenecks, 5S in procurement environments, standardisation, Kaizen, visual management and KPIs. For procurement teams, category managers and process-improvement professionals. Course page.
Certificate or designation?
CISM and CIVMP are IPSCMI designations earned by examination and maintained every five years. The ASCM SRM Certificate is an ASCM certificate programme. Strategic Procurement, Procurement Budgeting and Cost Management and Lean Procurement Excellence carry Blue Ocean certificates of completion; the Strategic Procurement Master's certificate is described on its course page. None is a CIPS qualification; if the chartered-body route is what you need, the ladder is explained in CIPS certification in India and the IPSCMI procurement ladder in CIPP vs CIPM. For the contracting side of all of this, see contract management courses in India.
Delivery in India
Five of the seven are self-paced with the guided hours shown; CIVMP and the ASCM SRM Certificate run live online in cohorts with recordings and a self-paced option. The content is the same wherever you are in India; advisors are available in person at our New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi centres. Tuition is shown in Indian rupees on course pages for visitors in India; IPSCMI's and ASCM's fees are separate. Companies run these for category teams through corporate training in India.
