Supply Chain Courses in Egypt: Certifications, Prices in EGP and How to Choose

Read this page in Arabic: اقرأ بالعربية

Supply chain work in Egypt has changed a great deal in the last few years. Factories in 10th of Ramadan and 6th of October, food and pharmaceutical multinationals in Cairo, exporters shipping through Alexandria and the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and the online delivery companies that grew after 2020 all need planners, buyers and warehouse leads who can read data and run a process. Job postings now ask for named certifications far more often than they did five years ago.

This page is our Egypt guide to the supply chain programs we run at Blue Ocean Academy: ASCM certifications such as CSCP and CPIM, IPSCMI programs such as CISCP, CILT certificates and the shorter self paced courses from our Mastering Business Excellence series. The table below lists every course in this domain with the Egypt price in EGP as shown on each course page at the time of writing.

After the table we explain who each type of program suits, how to choose, how formats and EGP pricing work, what job postings in Egypt show for pay, and how to reach our Cairo advisors.

Who takes supply chain courses in Egypt

Our Egyptian learners fall into three groups. The largest is working professionals with two to eight years of experience: demand planners, production planners, buyers, warehouse supervisors and logistics coordinators who want to move into planning or management. The second is recent graduates of commerce, engineering and logistics faculties, including the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, who want a recognised credential early. The third is managers from finance, sales or operations who have inherited supply chain responsibility and need the full picture quickly.

By sector, demand is strongest in fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, automotive parts, textile exporters, building materials, retail and online delivery. Most learners are in Greater Cairo and Giza, with a steady flow from Alexandria, Borg El Arab and the industrial parks of the Suez Canal zone at Ain Sokhna and East Port Said.

Certification or short course: how to decide

A simple rule from our Cairo consultations: if your target job title contains planner, manager or specialist, go for the certification. If it contains coordinator or assistant, start with short courses and build toward the credential within a year.

Formats and how pricing in EGP works

Self paced courses give you recorded lessons and assessments on your own schedule, with the access period stated on the course page. Live online programs run with an instructor over video, usually in evening or weekend sessions on Cairo time, with recordings if you miss a class. Classroom batches run at our New Cairo office in the Fifth Settlement when enough learners register for the same program.

Prices appear in EGP on each course page for visitors from Egypt, and where a self paced course carries a discount the discounted price is the one you see. The course page states what the fee includes, and for CSCP and CPIM it includes the course, the exam and the certification fee; ASCM's own fees in US dollars apply only if you study on your own and pay ASCM directly, while retakes, maintenance and optional ASCM membership are separate. Prices can change, so confirm the current figure with an advisor.

Employer sponsorship is common for certifications. Banks, multinationals and large Egyptian industrial groups usually fund CSCP, CPIM and CISCP from a training budget, and we issue a quotation and tax invoice addressed to the employer. If you are asking your manager, send the course page, the EGP price and a short note on what you will apply at work in the first three months.

Careers and salaries in Egypt

Pay in Egypt moves quickly, so we describe what job postings typically show at the time of writing rather than exact figures. Junior planner and supply chain coordinator roles in Cairo and Alexandria are commonly advertised at EGP 12,000 to 22,000 per month. Demand planners, senior buyers and analysts with three to six years of experience usually see EGP 25,000 to 45,000. Supply chain managers at multinationals and large local groups often fall between EGP 50,000 and 90,000, and heads of supply chain can exceed EGP 100,000 with a bonus. Multinationals in the industrial cities and the Suez Canal zone sit at the top of each range; smaller companies pay less but often promote faster.

Certification matters most when you apply to a multinational, where it is often a screening filter, and when you apply for Gulf roles, where CSCP and CPIM are widely requested.

How to enrol and talk to our Cairo advisors

  1. Send your details through our enquiry form or call our New Cairo office, with your current role, target role and budget in EGP.
  2. An advisor replies, usually the same working day, with a recommended program and format.
  3. You receive a written quotation in EGP, addressed to you or your employer.
  4. After payment you get self paced access immediately or a seat in the next live online or classroom batch, and for certifications we guide you through exam registration.

If your interest is closer to ports, freight and transport, see our Logistics and Shipping Courses in Egypt page.

Frequently asked questions

Which supply chain certification is best for professionals in Egypt?

It depends on your role. CSCP suits people who manage the full chain, CPIM suits planners and inventory specialists, and CISCP from IPSCMI is one of the most affordable international options with the exam administered through Blue Ocean Academy. Our Cairo advisors recommend one after a short conversation about your job and budget.

Are there free supply chain courses in Egypt?

Yes. At the time of writing, Supply Chain Management Fundamentals and Ethics in Procurement and SCM are free self paced courses, and they are a good way to learn the vocabulary before investing in a certification.

Where do I sit the ASCM exams if I live in Egypt?

ASCM exams such as CSCP and CPIM are delivered through Pearson VUE, which has authorised test centres in Greater Cairo and offers online proctored exams from home. Our advisors confirm the current options and help you book.

Will my employer in Egypt pay for a supply chain course?

Many do, especially banks, multinationals and large industrial groups with annual training budgets. We issue quotations and tax invoices in EGP addressed to the employer and can advise on how to present the request.

Do I need a degree to join these programs?

Most short self paced courses have no entry requirement. ASCM asks for experience or education depending on the credential, and IPSCMI accepts either a degree or relevant experience. Send us your CV and we will check your eligibility before you pay.
