The short answer
If you work in supply chain, logistics or procurement and want to understand where AI genuinely helps, how to pick and govern use cases, and how to talk to your IT and vendor teams without being sold to, these courses do that job. If you want to build models, write code or earn a statistics-based analytics credential, they are the wrong courses, and we would rather tell you now.
A straight answer for "supply chain analytics course" searchers
About a third of the people who land on a page like this searched for a supply chain analytics course. Here is the honest position. We do not offer a supply chain analytics or data-science course, and none of the five courses here is one. The AI-application courses touch analytics (demand sensing, forecast accuracy, dashboards, AI-driven decision support) as users of it, not as builders. The ASCM Supply Chain Technology Certificate includes a unit on advanced analytics and automation at an awareness level. If you need to learn Python, SQL, statistical forecasting or optimisation modelling, look at a university or a specialist data programme and come back to these courses for the functional context. If you need to lead a team that uses analytics and AI, stay.
What AI-application courses actually teach
Three things, in every one of these courses: where value is (which forecasting, inventory, routing, sourcing or supplier-risk problems AI improves and which it does not), how to prioritise and govern (use-case selection, data readiness, build-versus-buy, bias and risk, change management), and how to work with the technology (what the tools do, what to ask vendors, how to read the output). They assume you know your function and they do not assume you can code.
Course by course

AI in Shipping and Freight Forwarding (47 hours)
Seventeen modules for forwarding and shipping professionals: AI fundamentals for freight, the digital freight ecosystem, high-value use cases in logistics operations, visibility, exception handling and customer communication, routing, scheduling, forecasting and workflow automation, documentation and compliance, pricing and quotation, and AI-supported service workflows. Course page. The wider forwarding route is in shipping and freight forwarding courses in India.
Certified in AI in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (IPSCMI)
The one examined designation here, listed by IPSCMI among its certifications. The programme develops practical expertise in applying AI across procurement, logistics, sourcing and supply chain operations: AI-powered forecasting of disruptions, demand and trends, data-driven procurement decisions, automation of logistics, warehousing and routine operations, and sustainable, ESG-aligned supply chains. Delivered live online with a self-paced option, leading to IPSCMI's examination. IPSCMI designations are kept by recertifying every five years; IPSCMI makes no claim of third-party accreditation and neither do we on its behalf. For procurement professionals and supply chain managers who want a designation for AI adoption rather than a certificate of completion. Course page. The IPSCMI ladder is explained in CISCP and CISCM certification in India.
Supply Chain Technology Certificate (ASCM)
Six topics: blockchain, advanced analytics and automation, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, demand planning technologies, and additive manufacturing. An ASCM certificate programme (not a designation) for supply chain, logistics, procurement and operations staff adopting digital tools, and a useful companion to the CTSC transformation designation. Course page. What an ASCM certificate is, versus a designation, is explained in ASCM certificates in India.
Credential or programme?
Three Blue Ocean programmes with certificates of completion; one ASCM certificate programme; one IPSCMI designation earned by examination. If you need letters after your name for AI in your function, CAIPSCM is the only one here that gives them. If you need to make better decisions about AI this quarter, the programmes are faster and go deeper into your specific function.
Who should take which
- Planners and inventory managers: AI in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Buyers, category and sourcing managers: AI in Procurement and Supply Chain, then CAIPSCM if you want the designation.
- Forwarders and shipping operations: AI in Shipping and Freight Forwarding.
- Managers leading a digital programme: the ASCM Technology Certificate alongside the strategic courses in strategic supply chain management courses in India.
- Anyone who wants to build models: not these; see the straight answer above.
Delivery in India
The three programmes are self-paced with the guided hours shown; CAIPSCM and the ASCM certificate run live online in cohorts with recordings and a self-paced option. The content is the same wherever you are in India; advisors are available in person at our New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi centres. Tuition is shown in Indian rupees on course pages for visitors in India; IPSCMI's and ASCM's fees are separate. Companies run these for whole functions through corporate training in India.
