Greater Cairo is where most of Egypt's procurement decisions are made, so it is no surprise that most of our CIPS learners are here: from the head offices in Maadi and Zamalek to the shared service centers in New Cairo and Smart Village, the factories in 6th of October City and the contractors building the New Administrative Capital. This page explains how our CIPS course works for people living and working in Cairo and Giza, what it costs in EGP, and how to enroll.
Who takes CIPS in Cairo and Giza
Three kinds of people, mostly. Working buyers and procurement specialists in their late twenties and thirties who want the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply to move into a manager role or into a multinational. Engineers, accountants and logistics staff who have drifted into tendering and contracts at construction groups, telecoms and pharma plants and want the title to match the work. And a steady stream of professionals preparing a move to the Gulf, where CIPS is often a requirement.
Sponsored learners come from banks such as CIB, NBE and Banque Misr, from FMCG and pharma plants, from EgyptAir and the Cairo Airport ecosystem and from the big Egyptian groups. Self funded learners tend to be the ones with a clear plan: a target job, a target date and a budget.
The formats we offer in Cairo
Live online is the default. Classes run with an instructor in real time, usually in the evening or at the weekend so they fit around Cairo working hours and traffic, and you join from home in Nasr City, from the office in Sheikh Zayed or from a cafe in Heliopolis. Sessions are interactive, with practice questions and marked constructed response answers, not recorded lectures.
Classroom in New Cairo runs when a batch is scheduled. Our office is at U Venues in the Tourism Zone of the Fifth Settlement, and when enough learners in a cohort prefer face to face sessions we open a classroom batch there. We never promise fixed classroom dates on a web page; ask our advisors what is scheduled this quarter.
There is no self paced option for the CIPS levels. The constructed response modules need a trainer reading your written work, and a video library cannot do that. If self paced is what you need, the Certified International Procurement Professional program is available self paced at EGP 35,699 (standard price EGP 45,899, currently discounted).
How the schedule works
CIPS assesses Level 4 module by module, and we teach it the same way. Tuition is organized around the CIPS exam windows so that you finish a module's classes a few weeks before its exam. Most Cairo learners take two or three modules per window and complete the eight modules in twelve to eighteen months. If you are sponsored and your employer wants it faster, we will tell you honestly whether the pace is realistic for the two three hour written modules.
Exams are not held at our office. You book them yourself through CIPS and sit them at a Pearson VUE test center, including the one on the AUC campus in New Cairo, or online from home. Our CIPS exam guide for Egypt walks through the booking screens and the ID rules.
What the course includes
Live tuition for the modules of the level you enroll in, delivered by trainers with procurement experience of their own. Practice questions for the objective response modules and marked practice answers for L4M1 and L4M8. Guidance on CIPS registration, module booking and exam windows, from an advisor who has walked many learners through it. Ask the advisor for the current inclusions when you enroll, as they are refined cohort by cohort.
What it does not include, so there are no surprises: CIPS student membership, exam fees and official CIPS study guides, which you pay to CIPS in GBP. Cairo employers that value CIPS
Multinationals with regional or shared service operations in New Cairo, Smart Village and Maadi list CIPS in procurement manager postings as a matter of routine. Oil and gas service companies, the large construction and real estate groups working on the New Administrative Capital, and the banks all recognize it. Telecom operators and pharma plants ask for it in category and contracts roles. Fees and how to pay in EGP
Level 4 tuition is EGP 62,300 live online or classroom at the time of writing, and the course page shows this price in EGP to visitors from Egypt. The Level 3 Advanced Certificate is EGP 71,500 and the Level 5 Advanced Diploma is EGP 62,300. You can pay as an individual or we can invoice your employer; sponsored learners usually need a quotation on letterhead for their HR or L&D team, which our Cairo office issues the same day.
