Who is training in Salalah for?

Training in Salalah suits people in port, airport or travel work, people planning a move into that kind of work, and people stepping up to manage. Pick the situation below that looks most like yours.

Salalah Port Services Company reported that the General Cargo Terminal handled 26.4 million tonnes in 2025, up 17 percent and its highest on record, led by dry bulk such as limestone and gypsum. The container terminal handled about 4.3 million TEU in the same year and is equipped to accommodate the Gemini Network. Salalah's airport had about 678,591 international passengers and about 1.02 million domestic passengers in 2025.

You work at the port: which courses fit?

Start with Mastering Sea Port Operations for port work, and add Fundamentals of IMDG for dangerous goods. Both are self paced.

For freight forwarding, Certified Shipping and Freight Forwarding Professional is the course to read. For planning, look at Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, an ASCM credential, and Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution is another ASCM option. For a diploma level program, choose International Diploma in Logistics and Transport. Ask an advisor which of these matches your work, because the course pages list different topics.

You work near the airport or in travel: which courses fit?

Airport Operations Fundamentals and Airport Ramp Services are IATA courses for airport work, and Foundation in Travel and Tourism Diploma is an IATA course for travel work.

Airline Cabin Crew is an IATA course, and it ends in a certificate of completion, not a license or a job offer. IATA courses run live online or through Blue Ocean's IATA Authorized Training Center in Dubai, not in Salalah. Ask an advisor how that fits with your shifts before you enroll.

You are stepping up to manage: which courses fit?

Choose by what you will manage: projects, HR or procurement. Project Management Professional is a course for projects, Certified Human Resource Manager for HR management, and CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply for procurement at CIPS Level 4.

PMI and CIPS set their own exam rules, so confirm them on each body's website before you enroll. For CIPS, the course fee is training only, and CIPS sets its own exam fees. If you are new to project work, take the free Fundamentals of Project Management first. Leadership Essentials and Business Communication Essentials are self paced courses for building management skills.

Which program should you pick first in Salalah?

Pick the course that matches your job today, then add the next one when your role changes.

If you are Omani, Oman's Ministry of Labour planned 60,000 job opportunities for 2026, 17,000 of them through national training and qualification programmes. Ask the Ministry or your HR team about the programmes and check your own eligibility.

Steps to take from here

Choose your situation, then pick one course and ask an advisor to confirm it fits.

  1. Decide which of the three situations is yours: port, airport and travel, or management.
  2. Open one course page from that section and read the fee, format and topics.
  3. Pick from the formats listed for your course, or ask an advisor about arranging a class in Salalah, except for IATA courses.
  4. Send your details through the enquiry form. For team training, use the corporate enquiry form.
